Mato Seihei no Slave was also skipped by MangaPlus, which makes absolutely no sense since it comes from the mangaka of Akame ga Kill which has some popularity in West.

Kimetsu movie was really, really good. Will be better animated than AoT and have better foght animation as well. The way they used sound is amazing. Super emotional too. Seriously this will be the best Jump adaptation, ever.

What are your favorites by the way? Haikyuu is definitely up there.
JJBA is #1 adaptation for me. Part 5 blew everyones expectation in terms of animation and as always the directing is still outstanding. Part 5s adaptation is probably the strongest thus far with how they've been rearranging the content to make it flow better. Its not a perfect adaptation but I would place it as the best adaptation. David pro really nailed the flair of the series & their excellent directing helps the series move along even tho its animated much in some parts. Haikyuu is close tho.

I havent watched the movie but I have my doubts the adaptation will beat out JJBA/Haikyuu but for sure it will be one of the better adaptations.

Thanks for posting this, very informative!
For notice, the 3rd new launch in February was just a transfer of Shoujo called Gunjou ni Siren (yes, a Shoujo from Margaret) to SJ+, so that one makes sense in lots of ways.

It was from YOU(so actually Josei) , since the magazine was discontinued in November last year

also by the same mangaka as Ichigo 100%, just using her female demo pen name

Oh wow, that is very interesting to know. Josei manga on a (still for now) marketed as Shonen online platform. I did read they are starting to appeal to everyone recently, so again reconfirms my thought of Shueisha pushing SJ+ as a "Netflix for manga".

Black Torch was cool. But never followed it cause it felt really similar to Bleach.

Love how Heart Gold looks though. When does it start

What chapter to start Hinomaru Zumou from, anime ended up being incredibly epic and definitely want to see more of our favorite sumo highschoolers especially kei.

So they didnt even animate the departure matches nor Jinou's official debut, that's quite dissapointing

Yeah, they could have done an extra episode to adapt 155-157 and end there, which makes more sense but oh well.

Do you guys consider Kimetsu no Yaiba a battle shonen? I saw a person referring to it as one but I'm not sure myself if I consider it as one.
Bet you think KNY is a seinin too heh?

Uh, no? Even more when I only use seinen as demography. Battle shonen is an exception (even if I use more Battle manga instead) but you won't see me using Shonen as in this case, it's for the demography.

and Chainsaw, Higuma, Jujutsu, Saiyuki
True. Forgot about those lol

Sure, Aniplex can more or less collaborate with anyone, but A-1 and Cloverworks are their own subsidiaries so it's in their best interest to give some them high profile projects. That's most likely why they insisted on Cloverworks doing TPN.

Hopefully not. Unkown newer studios especially nowadays tend to have really crappy inconsistent works.
I hope not but if an announcement happens this year, I think it's more likely that an unknown studio will pick it up.

Yes, Nakano says in an interview about it, actually, with how the publication focus on different demography.

Overseas fans may not be so familiar with this, so what exactly is the difference between Weekly Shonen Jump and Jump+?

Weekly Shonen Jump is a print magazine with a long history. The works are mainly aimed at teenage boys. That's the strong focus we keep in mind for Weekly Shonen Jump. But with Jump+, things are a little looser. Some of the works are aimed at adults or at women. It's full of new and different styles of manga that you haven't seen before, fighting at the front lines. I think it's made possible by the fact that it's all published digitally instead of on paper.

I would suggest maybe reading it from the beginning since they did skip some arcs.

TPN has also been a battle manga since the first escape.
I don't think so, Goldy Pond and Hideout Attack could definitely be labeled as "action", but I don't think the series itself is battle now, it just had a change of focus on the middle of it's story, right now, Neverland has gone back to it's Mystery/Horror roots.

Neverland’s Goldly Pond and Raid Arcs are definitely Action/Thriller.
When I think “battle” though, I’m thinking of series like MHA, Naruto, DB, Black Clover etc. a series that focuses on super powers and fights
