Do you expect an illiterate 17 year old teenager that has been treated like an animal their entire life and betrayed in the end to have some kind of generic goal like every other MC in the magazine? You're also missing my point in the previous post but I'll stop right here. Thread's already a mess.
Is that your excuse for the authors writing? LMAO. Let me clarify that I'm not knocking your enjoyment, but dude this is just the authors writing style. He loves this shit. There's been tons of other characters in fiction in similar scenarios with more interesting goals and ambitions. Fire Punch was literally the same shock value mess and it clearly had its audience seeing that some of you love it alot.
Uh hello? Vanessa is a walking fanservice in Black Clover. Early Naruto was pulling pranks with Sexy Jutsu and had Jiraiya being a complete pervert. The entire reason Mineta even exists in MHA is to make sexual harassment jokes. My mind's blanking out on Bleach at the moment but I recall some boob joke involving Orihime.

What part of "craving for physical and emotional love" do you not understand? Also, drop what? You're the one who started quoting me and pretend you understood the series.
Also shouldn't this in-depth discussion of a specific chapter's events go in the Chainsawman discussion topic? We do have one. Plus maybe there's not many but some of us like to wait for the Viz/Manga+ release to read stuff. I read this topic for general magazine discussions about rankings, new series info, cancellations and such, not to talk about what happened in one particular Chainsawman this week unless it's relevant to its future.
I wonder how David's author must feel if it does get cancelled in the next couple issues, the sales might've dropped between volumes but it's still, what 10x what Japan gets? None of the Japanese readers seems to like that series at all except apparently some Tokyo city government official.
Just stop, man. He doesn't even know about his disappointment with grabbing breasts aside from the padded bra thing, how Makima told him that forming an intimate relationship with someone would make his goals better, and etc.
It's like people dismissing this series because they think it's edgelord gorefest, without realizing that that's just surface-level. There's no point trying to fill cups that are already full.

Nah I'm down for a couple of specific discussions when it's topically relevant.
Also how are half of the recent posters missing the point of CSM? The guy has literally been a slave under threat of death for his whole life. And both then and now he murders for money. He's had no traditional socialization and no societally approved goals or dreams. He's literally like a wolf-raised child type of character, acting on impulses and urges while also gradually becoming more complex and learning the realities of the world. It's an interesting way to develop a character.
Back on topic, I'm curious how Jump will handle the lineup if one or two of the new batch does well in the rankings instead of Samurai 8. Are they gonna axe one based on the sales?

Yuuna and Hinomaru dying. Shokugeki is also dying soon.
Another option would be to finally move HiatusxHiatus to another magazine like they did with World Trigger or Gintama. And to move Boruto too. Heck, there are also the rumors about Chainsawman becoming monthly for the volume 1 length stuff.

Who's missing the point? That's such simple story telling. Nobody is saying they dont understand why the MC is the way he is, at the same time there's nothing wrong with disliking the MC's motivations and finding it immature and boring. Once again theres tons of other characters in fiction who been through worse, also seeked emotional and physical love, and came out with plenty of more interesting and intricate goals. Can Denji develop them later of course, but as of right now there's nothing interesting about what's being done lol.
I wonder what's going to happen with I'm From Japan long term anyway.
Its sales are straight up horrendous but it's probably safe through Summer due to Tokyo government or whoever funding an anime, and by the end of Summer it'll have had enough time to do a chapter for every prefecture. I'm sure there's plenty of things to use in a second run of each prefecture but with those sales it's really not worth continuing past what's necessary. It only really needs to go to ch 47, I guess maybe it do an extra couple chapters +epilogue celebrating the whole country together as a big finale, finishing on ch 50 or something.
At any rate, if it doesn't end this time they might as well just let it go to ch 47 since it'll probably be about ch 40 by the time the next batch arrives, and at that point it'd feel a bit mean to let it go on for so long but cancel it so close to the finish.
Is Japan the worst selling series to last past ch 30? I know other magazines have had things with similar or worse sales lasting over a year but I can't imagine that from this magazine.
