Glad to see Jump has as much faith in Samurai 8 as they did Ziga.Dude, they went "all in" when they hoisted a literal promotional billboard.

Context?Glad to see Jump has as much faith in Samurai 8 as they did Ziga.
They put up billboards and ads in the subway for that round as well.Context?
Well, that batch produced Jujutsu Kaisen, so the faith wasn't totally misplaced. They put up billboards and ads in the subway for that round as well.
Samurai 8 is getting some big push, but the billboards are a filmy example.
Samurai 8 is getting off the ground in any case. It's only the question of how much, both in rankings and sales. Not if. Shueisha knows this.Well, that batch produced Jujutsu Kaisen, so the faith wasn't totally misplaced.
Also, since it's Kishimoto, I feel like Jump has decent reason to think it'll get off the ground.
Didn't RobotxLaserbeam only really sink after the time skip basically made the story directionless? Not denying that sales will probably not have the best growth early on, but RxL's failure is in large part the failing of Fujimaki.Kishimoto could still pull a RobotxLaserbeam, huge first volume sales that only stagnate and decrease from there for the later volumes. Still, this is the creator of Naruto, I feel like no matter what Samurai 8 is guaranteed to last 10 volumes at the very least.
Do you even read the series lol?I do not know if hinomaru zumou will finish this year, after all the jump is giving many colored pages for him.
It's not difficult a manga that looks like it's going to end up not ending and gaining a survival. I've seen it happen to many.Do you even read the series lol?

good as well as you were joking when I said that the bleach was popular and then broke the face.Lol.
These new "Jump experts" are adorable.
All their predictions with the wildest leaps in logic.
oricon (Edit: Just noticed this was using an old format so the monthly isn't properly stated)Didn't RobotxLaserbeam only really sink after the time skip basically made the story directionless? In case you're wondering, yes, I do frequently flip-flop on how Samurai 8 will preform. I'm that kind of person.
It has to be noted last 2 volumes have been released after Robot x Laserbeam was axed. Shame it couldn't keep up the Volume 2 rise momentum.oricon

4. Aren’t on hiatus. They didn't really have to think? They chose the series that 1. Weren't ending in the next few months, 2. Had dedicated PR departments and 3. Weren't Boruto.

RxL was such a big sucessoricon

Futari no Taisei felt like a one shot to me too. The whole story set up the relationship between Tai and Sei, and also about Sei's tendencies to change interests, that it felt like the end goal was to unite the two through shogi again. So as far as we know now, there is no end goal to reach. Tai is also a famous prodigy already, so it wouldn't be that fun or realistic for his goal to be "the best". (I hope I'm not mistaken) I hope that next chapter will clear this up and establish the long term goal. Nevertheless, the art was really goodDouble Taisei felt more like a oneshot to me than a chapter 1, it feels like its kind of told its whole story already and ended in such a 'and the story continues!' kind of way that stuff not really meant to actually continue does. I like the brothers' dynamic but the series felt weird, it's hard to imagine it lasting too long.
Samurai 8 isn't grabbing me that much either, there's a bunch of good ideas in there that have are good but right now the characters and events are eh.
Hopefully next week's new series is good, I really want a new wsj sports hit to read (even if it ended up being another RxL/Dance Club length almost-success at least it'd be something new around with for the next year and a half).
