Shokugeki ruined a lot of things...I remember when Hayama was a nice character but he became annoying with the central saga. Nothing redeemed him for me and that goes for most characters.

Even when Shokugeki was at its peak it wasn't anything incredible. The series was pretty good with the autumn tourney being its best arc. Good riddance, Tosh can flex his artistic capabilities on another new series (or moar ******)

Watch as Tosh spends the next year selling Shokugeki H-Doujins at Comiket.

Sorry, I wasn't frequently the forum when the manga started, so I've mostly heard "it's too slow; do something already" lately. That being said, I was referring to the Japanese audience, whose opinions actually matter in its survival.
Where did you hear it? Just curious.

And I agree with you about Saiyuki. I like it and I don't mind it being slow.

I hope he makes some ****** and then come back in late 2020 with a ecchi romcom to be the successor of Yunna. lol His art is great for that.

RIP Shokugeki, you will be remembered as something that was good and could of been great but decided to become trash.
What's sad is that I used to be very invested on the series from early on and just seeing it turn like this is just sad. Hinomaru may be ending as well within the next months but at least it will be able to end in its own terms and as very solid and consistent story

How many chapters does Hinomaru have around?

Difficult to estimate. If it's ending as part of a batch with Soma, Saiyuki and Yui, then it's 7 chapters. If not, it could be more. Anyone got a number on where the volumes are at? That could allow us to estimate things better.

I think Vol. 26 (coming out July 4) should have 224-232, so then Vol. 27 would be 233-241.

It's currently at 242, so yeah, 7-8 more chapters to fill one more volume. But it could go past that.

No. BC's latest recorded volume count was 8 million.
Judging by it's sales record do you think it will surpass it?

Tpn's last record I saw 8.8 million copies.

Not bad for KNY.

It's possible, it depends on how long the backlog sales last. BTW, TPN is already well past that. It's at about 15 million at this point.

Yes because BC got 7 million copies in print at volume 19. KnY has 15 volumes out.
No because Black Clover had a smaller backlog when the anime premiered, if memory serves me right.

The thing with Black Clover is that the manga didn't get such a big boost with the anime, while the anime in itself is very successful for TV Tokyo, which is the only metric we got for it afaik

Probably because the anime is animated with the budget of whatever Perriot has behind their couch.

In other news, I read the new Yuuna chapter, and now I want Tadahiro Miura to go to prison. Seriously, how the fuck was that allowed?
