Gokutei Higuma officially became by far the worst newbie of WSJ out of the trio for me. The art is really nice, but that is where the good stops. Axe this, Shueisha-kun!

I'd say the worst newbie is ne0;lation. It already smells to axe to me. Higuma smells to axe too.

Chainsawman is the opposite. I see it surviving and doing fine. Denji is a madman.

I'd say the best Jump chapters of this week for me have been Kimetsu and Act-age.

EDIT:

I love how both Act-age and Jujutsu are getting more and more and more consolidated. Definitively both of them are the next titles to get anime.

While Ne0 screams axe to me too, I feel it had the worst start of the trio, but better chapters recently than Higuma. And it actually had a great setup this chapter if it builds on that.

I can't say this 100% sure, but I think Hero Academia just has beaten Toriko and Eyeshield21 in total print sales.

D.Gray-man is in 22 millions and then Sakigake, Assasination Classroom and Hikaru no Go in the 25-26 million territory.

EDIT: Dunno about Shaman King since some sources say it has sold 25 million and other sources it has sold 45.

So I wanted to ask the story about Shimabukuro and Toriko getting bankruptcy and what did it mean. And also if you know any othe author-title getting bankruptcy.

I heard all this first last week in a Jump Force talk, about how Toriko passed from being of 3 main characters of J-Stars Victory Vs (with Goku and Luffy) 5 years ago to the fact that it seems Toriko won't be in Jump Force at all.

Toriko never got a print update after the TS started.

SK did 50 million, it was reported on a TV program.

Edit: Its 53 million

That is some BS rumor. Not true.

Do we know Saint Seiya total print copies sales? I always saw it in 35 million numbers, which I found it pretty low having in account Shueisha treatment of Saint Seiya as a supersales title.

I always saw 35. Tried to check, what I found was for the moment this, which also says 35M

Still, Shueisha treats Saint Seiya as a 50million seller. Reborn! has sold as much as Saint Seiya and you don't see this treatment.

Also, with all these spinoffs, I find surprising how Saint Seiya hasn't sold like 70 million copies lol

PD:

I'm remembering that Jump sales video of begininng of 2018 where Shokugeki had 14M and Hero Academia 12M. How times change.

Soma had actually broken through 15 million back at volume 30. For some weird reason they printed 15 million again on this vol 33 wraparound.

People here live in the realm of dreams, fortunately, commentors on ne0;lation on viz, among other places, loved it this week. I find it to be amazing, the new antagonists are going to really put ne0 through the wringer. Perfect.

It's good that ne0's got some sense of proper plot now at least, I didn't think it could just stay villain of the week (or month I guess?). It's hard to imagine it lasting very long either way but now we know that if it does join the Under 19 club we'll at least see a bit of what it would've been.

Higuma still seems to be going for monster of the week but I hope it does something interesting before it gets cancelled, I always like to see hints of what the writers planned for later so that I know what kind of series we're missing out on (and to see their potential for their next series).

I love Chainsaw Man. Feels fresh and retro at the same time. Lots of charm and love the world.

I thought ne0lation was kind of terrible initially, but is now becoming pretty fun. Giving me some Black Cat vibes.

Higuma isn't really bad, just maybe the most bland and forgettable Jump series to run since Demon's Plan. Shame because a new YYH clone could be a good fun addition to the magazine.

For Saint Seiya its 35 000 000 in world. For only Japan its 21 500 000.
And for Shaman King its 26 000 000 (with sequel).

Higuma was also amazing this week, Kobato is a greatly interesting character and classmate and the training/sparring was cool too.

Demon's Plan at least had some weird edgy stuff in it to stand out a little.

Higuma so far is just Muhyo & Roji but without the weird quirky MC or horror theme (aka the interesting parts).
