I'm not blowing up what you said for no reason. I just found your statement about the TPN anime and trailer weird when it's chock full of both subtle and expressive character animation and the overall anime is only beaten by Mob Psycho 100 this season. Dr.Stone trailer was mostly stills with some very limited animation so when you said it looks better than TPN, I just found it baffling. The art I understand but the animation is not something up for debate which is why I asked for an elaboration. Like an example from the PV. That's all.

Before you repeat yourself. I'm not implying TPN is threshold for how an anime should look. I have my own problem with the adaptation stemming from bad directing and bland as hell backgrounds. I just believe saying it has unimpressive art and animation is undeserved when it's the only thing the anime has going for it and is only second to Mob Pyscho.

Nishi put Lycanthrope Bouken Hoken on hiatus and started Muhyo to Rouji sequel with the sole goal of promoting the anime

now that Muhyo to Rouji sequel is over it probably means he have nothing to promote and the anime is over too

I assume Lycanthrope will resume very soon

Welp, guess We Never Learn will more fall into the category of Yuuna's anime. Think the series deserves something better, but I guess a mediocre adaptation is better than a trainwreck, at least.

All I can say is thank god we have Kimetsu to look forward to amongst this. Hard to believe that Stone, Japan and WNL all had such incredibly obnoxious PVs released within the space of a day. Doesn’t do much to get you excited when they’re basically just stills with characters screaming at the top of their lungs...

Although I don't disagree with you, you're comparing Neverland's final PV with Dr.Stone's first, that's like comparing the final trailer of a movie with a teaser, but that's just something I'd like to point out, Neverland would still be better just by the atmosphere the first PV presented.

Same. I'm disappointed but I already expected since the random studios and mediocre staff. It's quite like Yuna, indeed. And Gotoubun and Juliet for that matter which are all romcom that have almost the same level of animation/design/direction.

The only thing I at least want is a boost for bokuben, like Gotoubun had which really surprised me considering the quality of the adaptation which is mediocre.

1- there's no way in any studio could adapt a new manga into an anime that fast, just not enough time

2- the 3 examples I've mentioned are all gag manga from Shonen Jump, so they seems to don't mind letting those get a short Flash videos instead of a normal anime

ahh I see. What does short flash videos mean, like not really hand animation but more artificial stuff? And probably aired in shorts?

Flash animation was significantly cheaper. It feels a little cheaper since everything is animated with motion tweens, rather than frame by frame. But there’s a time and place for it

Though, to be fair, at least Dr. Stone is still a few months away from releasing, unlike WNL and Japan. There is still a bit of hope left. A tiny smidge, sure, but at least that's something.

Don't get me wrong, I don't think Dr. Stone will end up that bad. There's certainly signs in the PV it'll probably be acceptable. But the PV as a whole didn't do it a lot of favours and was outright annoying.
