Wouldn't that make Kimetsu the first ever 2 cour show by Ufotable if true?

Granted it pretty much has to be 2 cour since they're already hyping the pillars who won't show up until the second half (they'd have to really rush and also end mid-arc to get them in 1 cour) but I think Ufotable's only ever done 1 cour or split cour up to now. I'm curious how things will turn out.

Also I really hope it ends on ch 69, it'd be ideal pacing and also would work as a great finale in general.

These news are fucking amazing! I assume it will be continuous. I remember saying it is possible for ufotable to do a 2 cour even if it would be their first one. This would work out perfectly, I really hope they adapt all the way to the train arc, it would be the perfect way to end the series. If it's split cour that's also fine, 26 episodes will allow a lot to be covered.

I'm so happy for Kimetsu right now. I'm hoping to see a great boost in the manga sales.

Actually I just saw comments from the 2018 thread where people said that they read it won't be serialized. I vaguely remember reading that so I'll hold off till someone confirms with a source.

Not all the veteran one shots had serializations in mind. Iirc it was only Build King that was explicitly stated it will get serialized depending on how it does.

I remember that as well. It was in an interview. But what was said was something like "it most likely would not be serialized", so there is a possibility it could become a series.

I’m maybe more hyped for Kubo than Kishimoto’s return, but I wouldn’t even be interested if Kubo only wrote. He is a barely passable writer with the “coolest” art in the magazine. Kishimoto obviously can build fantastical worlds and write incredible characters. It works to have him write and an assistant imitate his art style (*cough* that was already happening for the last years of Naruto anyway *cough*)

I also really hope Kubo gets a clean slate and builds a new world and series. Bleach became muddled enough before Burn the Witch. BtW was a fun one shot but I’d stay away from that if it was a series.

Monthly may be very good for him. I can’t imagine he would be a writer as he states his entire purpose is to “draw cool things”. He finds writing and editors a drag from what I can tell and just wants to draw manga that look cool.
