Kimetsu no Yaiba was a very slow start, but became a cant turn my head away from the tv for the 2nd half. Nothing revolutionary or innovative, but still watchable. Left a stronger impression on me than the associated manga chapters

After Heaven's Feel 2 though, snow, action, and everything else looks pretty dull and uninteresting in Kimetsu though, so Im unimpressed by the visuals.

When comparing visuals from a movie and a TV anime, the movie will prevail in most cases, it's obvious, I think you set your expectations a little bit too high.



By the way, I know the Kimetsu anime is the "trending Jump topic" right now, wich is only fair, saying it's amazing would be an understatement, but any thoughts on the Bokutachi wa Benkyou ga Dekinai anime??

Yuiga is so cute in the We Never Learn anime that I was honestly hooked from the moment it showed him, then his voice is perfect. Very heartwarming and heartful/emotional first half, while second half gives me confidence they can nail the comedy really well, much more so than the manga does.

Should be an enjoyable anime just as Yuuragi was, both exceeding the manga's entertainment levels.

I was pretty down on the anime due to the PV and designs but it's surprisingly good. The direction and timing are good, the animation isn't strong but better than what I thought I would see and overall it's a better anime than what I expected. Certainly better than Yuna, for example.

The first episode of Kimetsu was fantastic, my favorite first episode of a adaptation from Shonen Jump.

Bokuben was good, the director have a good timing, and the storyboard for the OP is amazing.

I have to agree with the others. The first episode of Kimetsu was amazing with fantastic visuals, like ufotable always do in their digital techniques. They did an excellent job in this first episode, it was even more emotional than the manga.

If this anime don't make a significant boost to the manga, I'll be surprised.

Yeah, I loved the OP. Really awesome, even more in the creativity of the visuals. One of my favorite from this year

Now I'm hoping for some kind of boost. Or even a miracle like Gotoubun which had a huge boost. Which btw, surprisingly bokuben seems to have a better production tha toubun did on the same first episode when I thought it would be quite below. Good to be surprised.

To give my thoughts on Kimetsu's first episode, I really liked it. I love Gotouge's art style, however, she isn't the most consistent artist. Seeing her character designs animated was a pleasure. I think the standout aspect of the adaptation was the OST. It was incredible. There's a lot of spectacle in its production.

Animation was pretty great also. It's Ufotable, so there's a lot of CG. It mostly looks fine, but there were a few times where it was distracting. Nothing to worry about I feel though.

Definitely the weakest part was the first half. I'm going back and forth in my head as to whether or not Gotouge intended for 'that moment' to be a surprise, since it's made very obvious. So obvious in fact that it makes me wonder. I think it's only punctuating itself with me more now since the anime inherently takes much longer to build up to it.

On a final note, the OP is fantastic. I'm very excited for the rest of the season, and am looking forward to the fan base growing. I don't think Kimetsu is a masterpiece by any means, but I've always thought that it was undeservingly overlooked.
