Does anyone know where I can find the top 50 of Oricon for march 18 up to this week? (in weekly increments ofcourse).
ANN and mal haven't updated in a while now.

Til: it's only world building if your characters are adventuring the world

Til: media meant to appeal to pre adolescent boys can often be melodramatic.

Btw, its impressive how Neverland is still having a boost, what a monster.
I mean, MHA's boost continued through season 3 as well. So, it really depends on how well the story goes for TPN and how well the studio animates important moments.

Are you sharkbait 2.0? At least he tries to be smart about it.

I at least prefer exploring the world to text dumps over generic images. And I expected in such a character centric story we could take the time to build emotions more slowly, that's all.

Now please go back to analyzing Evangelion and Hunter x Hunter, your intelligence is too high for me to comprehend

Kimetsu's backlog will be stronger once it gets to Spider family arc. It's the same arc that gave the series a good boost and saved it. I'm loving the adaptation and the OP/ED. Really love the care that Ufotable has been putting into it.

I hope other studios that aren't known for doing manga adaptations start picking up WSJ titles...*cough* Studio Trigger *cough*

I hope Jigokuraku's adaptation will have a similar treatment being picked by a good studio. Vol.5 is already with 82k based on Shoseki, I think it's a matter of time for it to receive an anime announcement.

Same & I'm hoping its David Productions so they can do the style of the manga justice. I fear it's going to be Pierrot.

Have any Jump+ series gotten good studios yet?

- Tonkatsu DJ Agetarou got Deen (though it turned out fine since the cheap visuals suit it perfectly)
- I think a couple chibi comedy spin-offs got specials? they don't really count though
- Eldlive got Pierrot who gave it a filler end (because of course they did)
- Karada Sagashi was just a vertical anime
- and now Magmel has Pierrot+ who's apparently going into filler in episode 3 for some reason (because that's what people like about Twin Star and Black Clover, the awful immediate filler)

and I don't remember if we've had others. Maybe Jigokuraku being a good seller will draw someone better but so far besides comedy shorts Pierrot's the only one who seems interested in giving Jump+ series full length anime.

Jigokuraku is doing way better than all of the things from Jump+ that have been animated so far. You're forgetting about Kanata no Astra at studio Lerche (I think they're quite decent). Jikokuraku does deserve a good anime, but who knows what's going to happen.

Oh right, Astra's coming up in Summer isn't it? I guess that'll (hopefully) be the first good adaptation since Tonkatsu DJ.

I wonder if someone will eventually do World End Harem, it's certainly a top hit but it might be a bit too sex-focused past the first act to adapt outside of OVAs (also on that same note, I'll love to see a studio try to figure out a non-h adaptation of Parallel Paradise).

I'd expect to see some kind of an anime for World End Harem at some point since it's a very popular ecchi franchise. Making some OVAs seems to be the best idea. The spin-off manga Shuumatsu no Harem: Fantasia would also benefit from the extra promotion.

Was Kimetsu no Yaiba ever in danger to be saved? The only Bottom 3 ranking Kimetsu had was the issue Love Rush! was axed in. It was always recieved well by the Jump readers, and then started breaking through at the beginning of 2017 (Demon Train arc) with constant CPs and 2 covers (and LCPs)+ 1 LCP (cover was Boruto) it had that year alone.

I think Jigo could use a manga award before its anime adaptation or at least have quite a bit of volumes. Why is Pierrot starting Magmel and other titles with filler? Anyone have a legitimate answer?

I mean it was getting a bit of a boost prior to that tbf but what I mean its the arc that gave the series momentum it needed. That arc cleared any doubts of cancellation. I think it wasnt even a 30k seller prior to that so it was at risk of cancellation, whether it was big or small is up for debate.

Edit: Geocities is gone is there any other good sites that track sales?

Akuma no Memumemu-chan got just a short, but it was a 5min episode by Shaft. Teased more at the end of it but didn’t result in anything else.

I feel the same way towards Jujutsu that the critics of Saiyuki have. I’m hooked on Saiyuki, but I feel Jujutsu is a huge mess and I dropped it I think around chapter 45. I really tried to like it, but the cast is too bland and forgettable except for the teachers.

Play Ball deserves to be re-discovered for current Jump readers

Saiyuuki's pace is like that for this exact reason, I think you just have a personal preference over stories that are more simple, and that don't try to be so deeply dramatic right on the start, seeing your love for Chainsaw, that only had it's first chapter like that, and there is nothing wrong with it.

did heart gear just never have discussion, or did people only focus on spy x family?
