You may be the first person I've ever met who liked the ending of Reborn.
What can I say, I’ve had a long time to think about it at this point. At first I wasn’t sure, but it felt like a nice full circle deal

Kinnikuman/Captain Tsubasa/Kuroko no Basket: Haven't read, and I don't plan to

Fist of the North Star/City Hunter/Slam Dunk/Toriko: Haven't read, but I would like to at some point

Prince of Tennis: Read a few chapters and I plan to eventually continue. Ryoma's kind of a little prick.

Hitman Reborn: I read some of this a while ago, I found the gag chapters kind of boring, and lost interest in the series as a whole around the time box animals were introduced, there were some characters I really liked though.

Dragon Ball: Read this pretty recently, I hadn't grown up with it like a lot of people, but it's a pretty fun action series. The art really conveys action and motion well, and some moments were still really impressive, I can see why it became so influential, although I don't have interest in reading the countless sequels and spin offs.

Saint Seiya: I read the whole thing, but I found it very boring. I can see how the arc structures and powers have been adapted by most other modern shonen series, but I feel it has not aged well at all. Most modern series have built onto the formula in some way, making Saint Seiya feel really bare in comparison.

Yu Yu Hakusho: Saw the anime for this one, great action series with a lot of heart that deserves all the praise it's gotten over the years, I love everyone of the four main characters. I read some of the early manga chapters too, which were pretty good as well.

Yu-Gi-Oh!: Read this from the Jump Vault, I liked it a lot more than I thought I would. The original episodic games were pretty entertaining, but I think the over the top card game tournaments made for some pretty amazing moments as well.

Haven’t got around to most older series yet. Kinda working my way backwards.

Captain Tsubasa: Only experienced through the recent adaptation. So poorly written, but oh so fun. The art is pretty much impossible to put up with these days though.
Dragon Ball: Incredible how well written the first half is, and then even more incredible how well it shifts genre and becomes a classic in both.
Yu yu Hakusho: A classic. Feels very cliche, but it gets away with it.
Kenshin: Absolutely hate the first 2/3. Final 1/3 is quite nice though.
Yu Gi Oh: Reading/watching this atm. Pre Duel Monsters was incredible, and even if its completely ridiculous after that, it’s damn fun.
Reborn: Honestly loved this from start to finish (well after it became a battle manga at least). Tsuna is definitely a shitty character, but the battle system with rings and stuff was cool, and the future arc changed things up nicely. Ending wasn’t that bad compared to most Jump series (which also usually have bad endings).
Toriko: Adore this so so much up until the Monkey King. Captured the sense of adventure and wacky wilderness better than most.
Kuroko: Like Tsubasa in many ways actually. Much better characterisation, but the insanity is just simply fun.
Hoshin Engi: GOAT.

Ok now in your guys's opinion, is Jump's current line-up the strongest it's ever had? If not, when was the best generation?

Sket Dance in the ToC was being ranked just like other series, sometimes it ranked really high unlike actual gag manga

Example:
Volume 47 (14-11-2011)
1. Naruto
2. One Piece
3. Sket Dance
4. Bleach
5. Gintama
6. Kuroko no Basuke
7. Katekyo Hitman Reborn!
8. Medaka Box
9. Inumarudashi
10. HunterxHunter
11. Magico
12. Kochikame
13. ST&RS
14. Beelzebub
15. Kagami no Kuni no Harisugawa
16. Nurarihyon no Mago
17. Enigma (END)
Jump were so pleasing these days. No dark hero. No edgy sh!t (Does enigma count?). A lot of adventure titles and comedies.

The early 90s are the traditional "Golden Age" of jump.

HunterxHunter is the most edgy shit ever. Doesn't change the fact that it's good tho

Ok now in your guys's opinion, is Jump's current line-up the strongest it's ever had? If not, when was the best generation?
Early 90s for me: Dragon Ball (Z) + Yu Yu Hakusho + Slam Dunk + JoJo (Parts 3 and 4, the ones with more fans) + Rokudenashi Blues + Video Girl Ai + Dragon Quest Dai no Daiboken + Magical Taruruto-kun + City Hunter and Sakigake Otokojuku ending and Kenshin starting. Is a line-up of stars.

In second place I would put early 00s: One Piece + Naruto + Bleach + HunterxHunter + Death Note + Prince of Tennis + Eyeshield21 + Ichigo 100% + Rookies + Gintama + Yu-Gi-Oh + Hikaru no Go and Shaman King ending and D.Gray-man and Hitman Reborn starting.

Then mid-end 80s in third place: Dragon Ball + Hokuto no Ken + City Hunter + Saint Seiya + JoJo (Parts 1 and 2) + Sakigake Otokojuku + Kimagure Orange Road + Ginga Nagaberoshi Gin +Bastard! + Highschool Kimengumi, Wingman, Captain Tsubasa and Kinnikuman ending and Rokudenashi Blues, Video Girl Ai, Dragon Quest no Daiboken, and Magical Taruruto starting

And then early-mids 10 (One Piece + Assasination Classroom + My Hero Academia + Kuroko no Basket + Haikyuu + Toriko + Bleach + Naruto and Reborn ending).

In fifth place, ends 90: Kenshin + Yu-Gi-Oh + Hoshin Engi + One Piece + JoJo part 5 + NuBe + Midori no Makibao + I''s + Sexy Commando Masaru-san + Captain Tsubasa World Youth, with HxH, Rookies, Naruto, Hikaru no Go and Prince of Tennis starting, and Slam Dunk ending

Ends 00s is basically early 00s without half of titles (but with To Love-Ru, Bakuman, and Toriko and Kuroko no Basket starting). Early 80s is mid-end 80s without half of titles (but with Cobra, Dr.Slump, Cat's Eye, and maybe Ring ni Kakero ending).

70s era... everybody behaves as Jump starting in 1980 T_T Harenchi Gakuen, Otoko Ippiki, Dokonjo Gaeru, Koya no Shonen Isamu, Samurai Giants, Play Ball....forgotten gems.

Current era is easily one of the weakest personally. It weirdly manages to be very diverse in genre, and yet very same-ish in theme. Obviously the 80s and 90s are strong, but I haven’t got around to reading most yet. Early 2000s holds a special place for me.

Got the likes of OP, Naruto, Bleach, Eyeshield, PoT, Yu Gi Oh, Hoshin Engi, Hikaru no Go, Death Note, Gintama, Shaman King, HxH, Bobobo, Rookies, Black Cat, Ichigo 100%, Reborn, D. Gray Man, Jaguar, Mr Fullswing, Takeshi, Jojo.

Some of the best the magazine has ever had across most genres, and barely had room for anything new.

It's funny how every ToC you can find always has the couple random things struggling at the bottom. I guess that's part of Jump's history too, in a way.

Only going to comment on a few.
-Dragon Ball
Really love this. Prefer pre alien stuff, but the whole thing is a blast
-Saint Seiya
Other than Sanctuary and maybe Hades most of the series is pretty bad, but what's good is fucking incredible. Especially if you're into really cerebral psychedelic battles.
-Yu Yu Hakusho
My biggest nostalgic attachment to a Jump series by far but I really don't think it holds up. Outside of the incredible cast, I find the series a chore to either reread or rewatch now. Really repetitive.

-Kenshin (please, comment is as a series. Let's try to forget the ''Watsuki is a pedo'' here)
Boring.
-Yu-Gi-Oh!
One of my favorites.
-Hitman Reborn
Really fun. Not deserving of all the hate.
-Toriko
Never was my thing. Found it rather soulless. I like what I've read of Takeshi though.

Best was probably late 90's to mid 00's imo. Such a powerhouse lineup.

Toriko was REALLY good until all the food started looking like an oozy mess. When the food didn't appeal anymore, so did the series.

Thanks! But where do you get them in general?

WHAT THE FUCK. I try to read all the ongoing WSJ titles, and by first arc of Dr. Stone I don't know if you mean Z=0 or 1 (I can understand not loving 0), but I love the series a lot now.

But, besides that

WE HAVE LITERALLY THE SAME TASTE

I'm gonna remember your username because the value of your opinions just rose by 200%
THANK YOU!!! <3 <3 <3

I probably won't post too much since I'd feel like I'm repeating myself lol, but I'll share my thoughts if I ever have strong opinions on something!

I'm interested in what you think about old legendary Jump titles, similar way RingoRoadOnceMore has done of current series.

I would ask your opinion for this series:
-Kinnikuman
-Captain Tsubasa
-Fist of the North Star
-Dragon Ball
-City Hunter
-Saint Seiya
-Yu Yu Hakusho
-Slam Dunk
-Kenshin (please, comment is as a series. Let's try to forget the ''Watsuki is a pedo'' here)
-Yu-Gi-Oh!
-Prince of Tennis (the forgotten Jump spokon despite having sold more than Kuroko no Basket or Haikyuu)
-Hitman Reborn
-Toriko
-Kuroko no Basket

Extra titles: Otoko Ippiki, Mazinger Z (it debuted on Jump), Kochikame, Ring ni Kakero, Cobra, Sakigake Otokojuku, Rokudenashi Blues, Video Girl Ai, Dragon Quest Dai no Daiboken, NuBe, Sexy Commando Masaru-san, Hoshin Engi, I''s, Hikaru no Go, Eyeshield21

I ignored JoJo since is a strange case of an old title which gets tons of talk currently.
Soooooo because I only started getting into manga recently, I genuinely can't comment on any of these. Anime, on the other hand... I love Yu Yu Hakusho. I just think the last arc is really rushed, and yeah I know why. I like early Dragon Ball with all the adventuring and stuff. It was still watchable when it became about screaming really loud and blowing up planets. Everything after DBZ is just awful to me. I remember liking Rurouni Kenshin when I was young, but I don't remember the series itself tbh. Probably wouldn’t wanna go back and read/watch it now though for obvious reasons... I know a bit about the other series from what Wikipedia entries and others have said, but I haven't watched/read them.

So a different person is doing the art than the one who did this?
Yeah. They paired the author with an artist.

I got that one from 4chan. It was dumped there not long ago.
