Ok. And what is the best arc currently in WSJ for you?
I dont have anything that clearly stands above the rest if im being honest. Lots of manga have great potential for their arcs, but they are not there yet. If im going to say something is the best in jump it has to hit all the high notes that makes it way better than anything else.

I really hope Tokyo Shinobi Squad doesn't end up being another demon fighting manga, we've already got three successful ones (two of which are about the exact same kind of demon even) and multiple flop ones, we really don't need any more.

EiC please stop it
It's supossed to have some politic stuff going on in the plot, so no, there's no demons as far as I'm concerned right now and based in the brief sipnosis that's going around there.

I think it will be a dystopian future, mc's hands seem mechanical.

now about the mangas with fighting demons;
kimetsu no yaiba
chainsaw man
TPN
jujutsu kaisen

all are doing very well, now with TPN and yaiba going to the end is worth the jump wanting to replace them.

The only bad arc in MHA is the Gentle Criminal one, tho. It didn't do anything good for the characters like Jirou or Big 3 girl(which you tought at first it was going to be Jirou's Momo/Kirishima moment), and the cast didn't do much in general except Deku.

Yakuza arc have the same problem that the swordsmith villague arc in Kimetsu, it was a good arc but inferior than his predecessor and some important character didn't appear(like Todoroki in MHA or Inosuke in Kimetsu)

Endeavor and MLA are fun to see, is fresh to read what are doing other people and the Main character don't being the center of the series.
And Class A vs Class B was fun to read except bakugou battle(and the Oh my twist is a little rought).Kendo, Jesusgirl and Tetsutetsu are more important in the story than sugar man, so we needed to see how much they improve(and let shine some like mushroom girl).

The Gentle arc did have one of the best fights so it's not all bad. It was also a welcome short goofy cooldown arc after the big intense yakuza stuff.

It's hard to pick my personal favourite current arc in WSJ, the chapters I'm most excited about varies from issue to issue. Currently I'm most hyped for Zumou and considering what'll be happening in it over the next couple months I imagine it'll stay #1 for a while unless something amazing suddenly happens elsewhere.

WNL (now at Chapter 18) along with it's inspiration Nisekoi are in the "meh" category, nothing special, nothing amazing. Early Nisekoi chapters (up to the Chitoge's mother arc) were really good, but then it went into a round of stale and boring arcs while bringing new boring characters (Haru and Yui, especially Haru being one of the most unneccesary characters I have seen). Not to mention one of the most predictable harem manga winners ever (doesn't help Nisekoi had a one-shot before that is enough revealing).

WNL has a bonus that it has a lot more likeable girls all around (though it replaces some Nisekoi cliches with others) and is ambiguous in who is winning. Both pale against GoToubun though.
Glad that different opinions exists and we can disagree because I pretty much disagree with all of it. lol Including the comparison of Nisekoi, as it can be compared to I"s or 100% Ichigo from the same magazine.

Aside from that, like I said, Gotoubun has a different focus compared to them and other romcom harem. There's no real reason to compare them. Gotoubun is more of a normal romcom than a romcom harem even though it has 5 romantic interests.

My top 3 of current arcs running right now would be:
1. Yakusoku no Neverland
2. Hinomaru Zumo
3. One Piece

Its true that I think it is not that great of an arc, but it is not the best thing currently running in jump. If you generally believe it is the best thing right then yes I will call you a fanboy.
Or maybe people have different opinions? But here are solid reasons why I think MHA’s current arc is the best in the magazine.

One Piece is a close second.

Jujutsu has always been overrated to me, but a solid series

Black Clover’s current arc started of great to me, but now is dragging.

Current Neverland arc is probably my least favorite in the series. Loved it since Norman came back, but haven’t been crazy over the last 3 or 4 chapters.

Not caught up on Act-Age, but love the series. However, I always prefer action and adventure series in the magazine. So I doubt Act-Age would be my favorite even if I was caught up

Chainsaw Man is great right now, but it’s not the kind of manga that I usually stan

Dr.Stone is always fun to me. But not my favorite arc in the magazine.

Admittedly I’m not caught up with Haikyuu, but I doubt Haikyuu would be my favorite arc in the magazine currently even if I was caught up

Kimetsu is solid, but not it’s strongest arc.

We all know what Soma’s current level of quality is

We Never Learn is cool, but romance and harem series are rarely what I consider the best in the magazine.

Admittedly don’t read Hinamaru Zumou.

And regarding the new series
Sayuuki is cool, but never got the high praise. Just an average manga to me.

Kamui Yui isn’t as bad as everyone make its out to be, but it’s still not my thing.

Enjoying Samurai 8 so far, but far from my favorite manga.

Beat Children is okay, but I’m not a rugby fan, nor do I have any interest in the sport, so the future of the manga doesn’t excite me what so ever.

And I’d rather watch paint dry than read a manga revolves around a board game.

I always liked Nisekoi as gag manga more than a romcom, the serious arcs were generally all pretty stupid and not especially fun while the SoL gag chapters were usually great. WNL is also a really fun gag manga though in contrast to Nisekoi I do like its more serious romance/character development parts too.

Also I didn't get too far in but Quintuplets on the other hand I thought was straight up awful, it's the only time I can think of that I've read a harem where none of the girls were even slightly likeable. I guess it changes a lot later if it's gotten that big? But at least up to where I dropped it all of the girls were usually just mean or idiots in any given moment.

Chainsaw man is the best thing running in Jump currently, imo
If anyone truly believes this then y'all have disappointed the human race

I'm not really following anything else in WSJ at the moment because, no time.
But I am following One Piece and I'm enjoying it. I don't know what people are complaining about the Wano arc. But hey, that's just me *shrugs*

I feel overall was a bad arc, tho. I like does cooldown arcs being to have interactions with the other characters like Momo overcoming her insecurities.
The arc in general was a waste of potential for me.

Haikyuu isn't in his best match right now and Kimetsu isn't the best arc of the series but I think it may be as good as MHA right now.
And Act-Age and Chainsaw arc started recently, so it would be unfair to compare.

Why? Chainsawman from the first few chapters I read was definitely different from the rest you see in WSJ. The series wears its heart on its sleeve and that's something you dont see a lot. Don't know if that's changed now tho

Same here. As far as fights in MHA goes, that arc had the best choreography by far. Of course, plot-wise, it didn't do much for the story, but it was fun enough if only for that fight alone.

For hype moments, All Might at Kamino and Endeavor's are both tied at the top, which is fitting.

I dont even think the arc is bad, when its animated and there's lots of fun SoL moments along with the musical it should be enjoyable (and that smile at the end)

What's the synopsis?
安倍が移民入れまくる売国政策したせいで日本が無法地帯になるとかいうネトウヨの人が発狂しそうな話

This is the only thing I found about it, and as I'm not a japanese expert it's not like I'm gonna try to translate it cuz it doesn't even work with Google Translate. Only thing I could 'get' was political stuff.

AHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA
I mean, I don’t really get why it’s an absurd claim. The arc has been getting praised on pretty much most manga and anime communities. And MHA’s regular fanbase overall praise it.

And even here, you and like 2 other people seem to be the only people in this thread that think its absolutely abysmal.

Most people either seem to think it’s okay, solid, or good.
