I wouldn't be surprised if Jump is building up to a bigger batch around November, right when TPN is concluding, which will see Yui, Beast, Shinobi and Taisei all getting the axe. That's what's gonna happen, methinks.
That'll probably be after the GFC, which I would assume would start after these new series. We'll probably even see some series axed during the GFC.

Would they really do a big batch so early after making a big deal of the last one to celebrate a new era? Specially when that one has been pretty much a total failure.

Heck, even that huge six-series campaign from 2017 didn't go so well. There are only two of them left and they're among the least selling in the magazine. Doesn't seem starting a lot of series at the same time is the way to success.

My bet is a three-series batch when GFC ends, with only Taisei and Children getting axed and the third one replacing the oneshots.

Whoa, Poro's mangaka is back. Only two years after his previous axed manga, so quite soon.

I dropped his manga in a few chapters but I liked some things so I'm going to give it a chance.

Sales for the first volume of Kimetsu no Yaiba's anime increases to 12,920 after its second week (added 819 Blu-Ray discs and 507 DVDs) according to Oricon leaks.

Three new series was about what I expect too, although I think Yui Kamio would probably be one of the first to be axed, it can't keep hanging on forever.

if these 2 new series are a failure too, it is certain that Kamio yui will survive.

It's surprising how Act-Age is always in that ToC position but its volume-sales are good. Seems like ToC isn't a reliable source...
And same goes for Dr.Stone...ToC top 5 but its sales are mid.
Basing on this ^ I'd like to wait before saying that TSS will be surely axed. Its 1st volume has yet to be released.

Regarding S8, I seen multiple ppl say that Kishimoto stated that he plans on it being a short series, lasting about 10 Volumes.

To clarify the whole 10 volume thing, it wasn't actually announced that he is determined to only have 10 volumes. He was referring to the concept material, and he even said he has no idea how long it will be. He continued by saying "let's just assume about 10 volumes" and also mentions that he initially expected Naruto to only be 15 volumes, which obviously, ended up not being the case.

Kishi saying that he had planned 10 volumes doesn't means nothing. Did everyone here thing that rookies come to the magazine without at least an idea about how long would they like to be the series?Maybe one or two exception, but in general most newcomer are like kishi with samurai.

I think he also said in another interview he planned it out more then naruto which he didn't plan out at all, so his guesstimation may be more accurate.

Aaaah thanks for clarifying. I could never confirm for myself, but I’ve seen a ton of ppl saying that.

While this is true; if a Veteran Mangaka who had an insanely long run in magazine says their next series “will only be X volumes long” I’d sorta expect that they’d be able to make a better estimate this time around.

Plus i think making a short series would add up well with Kishimoto.

He previously expressed having no interest in returning to another weekly serialization ever again. He initially stated that his follow up series to Naruto would either be monthly or run in a platform where he’d have more freedom with deadlines. So we were all pretty shocked to see him return to WSJ. It would make a lot of since if he were only coming back to the WSJ magazine for a short run.

well this is different since he has someone else to do half the work for him so he probably isn't overworked. If s8 is a hit I wouldn't be surprised if he extends it since it's easier to tell someone else to draw something then drawing it yourself.

The work load is taken off of him, however i’d still say writing a script and storyboarding a weekly manga is probably a tiring workload.

Not that I’m saying that he definitely doesn’t plan on making a long series.

Just that Kishimoto could have easily did a monthly series, or even a Jump + series in the same manner(just writing and having an artist). He may have just changed his mind, but I’d imagine Shuiesha did some persuading for him to return to WSJ for his new series

The mangaka for the second new series did A Naked Swan (Mukidashi no Hakuchou) for Jump+ (4 volumes, ended in Decenber 2018), a gag about a high school guy who is moving around naked while trying to avoid the others to see him/his face.

EDIT: It was mentioned!

Oh i’ve read some of this! It wasn’t amazing, but way above a lot of recent Jump gag stuff. Bodes well for their new series

I am guessing Secureity (I mean the name is pretty much very gagish already) is probably a gag with a demon/exorcist setting.

It doesn't mean anything. The ToC is largely irrelevant outside of the bottom five. This was more than likely editor-placed.

Don't look into it too much.
The problem with your theory is this:

The previous issue, Samurai 8 was in the bottom 5. The only reason why this issue is outside bottom 5 is because Saiyuki fall again.

The pattern for the position of Samurai 8 is mantained. If this trend continue, Samurai 8 will be bottom 5 (so it would be relevant, right?).

Surprised the new series preview hasn't leaked by now. I guess Japan people didn't like them enough to share or what?

For those interested and can read Japanese I recommend the series Hime Sama Goumon no Jikan desu which literally means Princess, time for torture
Link to chapter 1
I’ll just say it wasn’t what I expected, at all
