Honestly, can you stop using the term "axe" excessively? Not every manga ended due to publisher axing. Maybe the authors end it on their own. Maybe they got sick. Maybe they are just tired of doing a dead-end job.
Axing- "end, cancel, or dismiss suddenly or ruthlessly". Both ended suddenly, so it fits the bill.

And whoa, calm down. No need for being agressive like this. I agree with what you said in general but knowing both being early-ish into run, I doubt they ended just because.

This certainly ain't Kishuku Gakkou no Juliet/Minamoto-kun Monogatari situation. Prince also sold poorly from what I remember (the gag manga had no volume releases but the chapters views were very low).

Now that's something I'd be interested to see in WSJ, a 'sports' series where instead of being devoted entirely to one sport it does a yugioh style King of Games thing where widely skilled people compete through lots of different games and activities.
so like track and field

you got hurdle, sprint, 4x4, throw the ball as far a syou can

Besides what you've already said, godDAMN that Tokyo shinobi cover looks terrible. There's no usage of negative space, the MC is flat (no dynamic posing) and is lazily shoulders up, meanwhile the side characters at the same time have no presence and are taking up too much of the readers' attention.

Low sales incoming...

Terrible cover is that of double taisei, which lacks a bit of creativity.

A reminder about what's written at the top of the manga news section:
Please keep in mind that specific chapter discussion/spoiler talk is prohibited until 24 hours after the official and english Edited Manga release!
I got permission from the global moderators for new series to be exempt from the 24 hour rule in this thread. Although, spoiler tags are still required. I appreciate the assistance, though.

Anyway, everyone, I was gone for a few days, but I'm happy to be back!

Yeah, the covers for the new WSJ manga are just bad and lazy.

Otherwise, Interrogation Princess has a great cover. Loved it, much like the entire composition!

And another Jump+ newbie, Tonari no Heya Kara Aegigoe ga suru Ndesukedo Vol 1 (yuri alert)
Damn, I wish someone translated it. Also, since you seem to know quite well Jump+, do you have any idea how many manga is out on there currently? And how many manga generally debuts monthly? I wasn't able to confirm it.

1) You mean ongoing? Around 60 (counting shared serializations like Hello World, World's End Harem Fantasia, Kojirase Hyakki Dominor) with Mode II (Part 1 ended), The Sign of Abyss, Soloist in a Cage, Sayonara Miniskirt, Anano Mujina, Ani ni Tsukeru Kusuri Wanai, Let's Haikyuu!, Hetalia World Stars and Kamisama, Kisama o Koroshitai being on hiatus. This is a great list of all Jump+ manga, with red ones ongoing https://ja.wikipedia.org/wiki/少年ジャンプ+

2) Anything from 3-5 per month, depends.

I did read the first chapter of Yozakura Family and in my opinion it's ok. Too many characters, but obviously that was intentional and we should see some development of them in next chapters. The girl mc was amazing with her understandment (she wanted to marry probably, but understood his problems).

So, looking at the preorder rankings on Amazon, Taisei, Beast and Shinobi are bad. Very, very bad. Like, I'm pretty sure a literal miracle is needed if any of them are to survive.

Not a fan of TSS. I dropped it and I personally dont see much of a resemblance to Kekkai Sensen. Its vastly inferior to kekkai sensen in every way possible, a poor man's Kekkai Sensen (that is if you get Kekkai Sensen vibes from it). Even calling it a poor man's Kekkai Sensen is a compliment...Kekkai Sensen is that godly & superior imo. Like you might as well read Kekkai Sensen.

I remember reading an author comment that implied the mangaka of TSS is a fan of Kekkai Sensen. I think someone posted that Nightow himself had given this series a recommendation? What a waste.

Yeah, the Nightow recommendation is true, and was even in the most recent issue. And yeah, the mangaka (the artist specifically) is a Nightow fan.

What happened in the recent issue?

Part of the promo text on Page 1 of the latest TSS chapter mentioned Nightow recommending the series. That wasn't in the M+ version, for reference, since they cut that text out.

It's worth noting that, as far as I can find, there isn't any first volume of a brand new WSJ series that has done well in preorders, especially from mangakas that aren't already big names. Chainsaw Man, for example, didn't sell out its first volume until after it came out.

Low preorder rankings isn't a great sign, in a vacuum, but it's not a death knell by itself. I don't think we're quite in "literal miracle" territory for any of these three yet.

Yes, I meant ongoing. Thanks for the response. :P I wish we got more jump+ manga, there's so many that looks interesting but aren't translated.

As always, reasonable points, but I'll still argue that "not even in the Top 100'000 just a week from release" is not a good sign.

Can you put the link? I would like to see the positions.

You have a point that preorder ranking wouldn't be something definitivr, but these mangas really need incredible sales to survive.

It would be useful compare he position of these preorders with preorders of previous mangas.
