The three strikes - youre out system makes me incredibly sad. It means we might not get Toshiaki Iwashiro back if they consider Psyren as a cancellation.
I hope he finds success SxF style in Jump+ or somewhere similar, or find someone to form a duo with, but I definitely want to see more of him.

And for individual Jump titles, Dragon Ball is 15th, Fist of North Star 17th, One Piece 20th, and Yu-Gi-Oh! 22th.

Very surprised to see Fist of North Star being bigger than One Piece. I expect Naruto and Saint Seiya to be over the 30th place.

I'm curious how Shibashi Hiroshi would be considered in this situation.

If I'm not mistaken, although Nurarihyon no Mago was successful, its popularity fell and was cancelled at the end.

Ilegal Rare was cancelled, while Yui Kamio just survive due to the cushion.

The 2/3 strikes rule is obviously for new unestabilshd authors and not Nura, Beelzebub, Psyren authors. Basically people like Red Sprite/Iron Knight author, Mitsukubu Condor/Amalgam author. Although naturally if the estabilshed authors keep failing with new series, they may fall under that rule too, but for sure Nura, Beel, etc weren't considered as 1 "strike".

Otherwise Takeshi Obata would not have made Bakuman in Jump as before that he had failed ones with: Arabian Majin Boukentan Lamp Lamp, Gakkyuu Houtei, Blue Dragon Ral Grad, Ayatsuri Sakon, Rikijin Densetsu, Cyborg Jiichan G. Although 4 of those happened before Hikaru no Go, so either special case or some of them are not considered cancelled.

He’s just the artist except for two of those. So, he’s a great resource for when Jump finds a great writer that has subpar drawing skills or is unable to meet deadlines when they have to draw.

Yeah, I think it's more of a balance thing. Like, if you have four reasonably succesful series and four flops, you're still good, but if you have three flops in row and nothing else, you're in trouble.

KNY is now ahead of MHA in the series oricon for 2019, and since KNY boost is still going fine + vol. 17 in October and the fact that no more MHA volume until the end of counting range.
