Damn, the recency bias is strong with the poll.
How on earth can you vote for a manga just have not even release its first volume over other legendary titles?
It's also bafflingly hilarious when the leading title is We Never Learn. Fyi, I do enjoy reading wnl, but this manga's romance aspect is underwhelming at best.
The only justified reason I can think of to vote for them is that they're the only title you read in the list.
I’ve never read anything other than Mission and WNL. So I just voted what I know

One Piece this week left us with the excitement to see what has to come. It's not that the arc has been bad, but now starts the epic battles and I'm looking forward to it.
As for Promised Neverland:
The demons themselves admitted they are not righteous, which spared me the effort to pretend they are. Now, let the true carnage begin.

Double Taisei and Yozakura were both really good again this week. If there was any conceivable way for DT to avoid its impending axing, I'd hope for it, but I think it's physically impossible for it to not get cut after those volume 1 sales. Honestly, the series took a turn for the better after starting this tournament arc. It's funnier, written better, and has nice character development. A shame that all this came too late. Yozakura showing some nice development for our MC pretty quickly, which was nice to see.

I can't wait to see the performance in Act-Age since they've built up both sides so much. I hope we get a few good color pages out of it. Yui Kamio was alright, glad the current arc is wrapping up. It wasn't necessarily bad, but I was growing a bit bored of the antagonist. Miitama was again mildly funny; no more, no less. Hopefully a couple side characters will be introduced soon so we can get some new gags thrown into the mix

Just a request, can we stop acting like the "8 week gap" for the TOC is a thing which exists? There's no hard evidence to it being the case?

Why not, theres been multiple cases that series were on fine position before the 8 week only to fall into the bottom part of the magazine after 8 weeks. Just some that I remember rn is Tanaka Seiji and Alice to Taiyou.

Tanaka Seiji Ch.6 (8 of 18) > Ch.7 (9 of 19) > Ch.8(14 of 20) >Ch.9 (16 of 18) > Ch.10 (17 of 18) > Ch.11 (14 of 16)

Alice to Taiyou Ch.5 (9 of 18) > Ch.6 (10 of 19) > Ch.7 (11 of 20) > Ch.8 (11 of 18) > Ch.9 (16 of 18) > Ch.10 (15 of 16)

I left out the oneshots that were published on those issues but you get the idea. And, even if its not per se an 8 week gap, its between that time that we can see how a series is doing.

And if you want a more extreme example just see the rankings of Ibitsu no Amalgam

His chapter 7

Can you stop acting like your opinions on gags and jump are facts? There's no hard evidence for that either but yet you parade around as if there is

I don't know how accurate this is but I heard One Piece and Takeshi are publicly known to have gotten first place ranking on their first chapters based interviews. Yet, if you trace back thier ToC, they don't get "1st rank" on thier 8 week mark.

I speak based on experience, in all those years we had this discussion about 8 chapters mark, whether the TOC is accurate and whatnot hundreds of times and we didn't conclude anything and it just a discussion that put in check the very reason for this thread existence, so it's not worth it.

The existence of 8 weeks rule is similar to the existence of Jesus. You can not prove (with clear evidence, not some correlation charts) nor disprove neither of them.
We can only know the truth when an editor-in-chief being completely transparent with how ToCs work.

Since we're on the subject, would it be accurate to say Nisekoi is the biggest romcom Jump has ever run? It's kind of like the Naruto of the genre, weird as it is to say.
-Kimagure Orange Road - 20 million copies sold
-To Love-Ru - 15 million copies sold
-Video Girl Ai - 14 million copies sold
-Nisekoi -11.55 million copies sold
-I's - 10 million copies sold
-Ichigo 100% - 8 million copies sold

There is life outside 10s decade, you know.

In other order of news, Yozakura shouldn't be in the poll. Not only because it has 4 chapters so far. I find it to be closer to Hitman Reborn than to romcoms, dunno

PD: Buranchi, can the next poll be "that"? :3c

I”s was definitely my favorite but I really enjoyed early Kimagure Orange Road and Nisekoi before they got muddled in filler (Nisekoi more so since it eventually caused me to drop in). Couldn’t really get into WNL after 60 or so chapters for similar reasons I dropped Nisekoi.
Still gotta read Video Girl Ai and maybe Ichigo 100% after hearing the good reviews.

Yeah, I'm seeing around 25 million.
This. However, in Savi video, the cipher is 53 million. This manga got me confused in sales.

Is the same stuff with Saint Seiya. It has as rule that it has sold 25 million copies, but in some sites I've seen it has sold 35 million copies in Japan.

Shaman King has twice as many volumes as yu yu hakusho, so it could sell more even with less fans.

Slam Dunk sold more then dragon ball? I find that hard to believe.

A list I'd like to see, jump series by how much they sold per volume, one piece sold more then dragon ball overall, but if you divide sales by volume amount dragon ball sold more per volume on average.

Wasn’t the Slam Dunk rerelease from last year really high on the sales charts?

This might be an investment but you should check out eOneBook. It's a digital tablet that read like a manga. I backed this project along with 72 volumes of naruto for 48000~50000 yen, and now i can just get their reader card and can read multiple series (like a special formatted sd card)

Once my arrived in December i'll post some pictures since December is a slow month anyways, with so many breaks

regarding the questions, i buy physical volumes, but i don't buy all of them ofc. For Jump I have

Physical:
70 volumes of One Piece
25 volumes of Nisekoi (completed)
18 volumes of Dr Slump (completed)
37 volumes of Eyeshield21 (completed)
16 volumes of Food War
4 volumes of Yuragi sou no Yuuna san

Digital:
Soon to be 72 volumes of Naruto

Back in the days I have complete collection of Dragonball, Yuyu hakusho too
Oh, I've heard of that. One reason I'm not really interested in that is the big white spot in the middle that cuts pages in half meaning that for double pages, you get a cut in the middle instead of seeing everything, shame really.
