That’s really interesting to see that Haikyu is doing that well. Especially since it’s beating Promised Neverland, Spy X Family and One Piece (even though earlier we were just saying how it’s declining). Maybe it’s getting the effect that Promised Neverland got when it was announced that it was ending.

Pretty big drop for MHA, it dropped almost 43k from volume 24 (despite having 2 more days) and its under 500k first month, also Kimetsu is getting closer to a first print of 2 million copies, Volume 18 will most likely cross 1.5m this week and isnt slowing down
Legit, is there anything comparable to what's happened with Samurai 8 in manga history? Some series like Gun Blaze West flopped harder, but I can't think of a case of a major creator returning with massive amounts of hype and promotion, only to miss the beat so much.

It looks fine comparing to the first day of sales of volume 1 and 2, even more considering that you have 17 Yaiba volumes that weren't "supposed" to be there eating 17 spots, at this point everybody knows that will not suddenly become a hit, so i'm more interested in seeing if legs will be decent or will quickly get out the top 500

I wonder if it’s because of the loss of momentum due to the larger than usual break between anime seasons. The backlog boost seems to be increasing, and the movie seems to have done well, and the anime ratings are on average an improvement over previous seasons. Also, Volume 24 sales might’ve been higher than normal because you needed to buy them to vote for the popularity poll. I’m sorry, I just find it a little weird.
Next week’s MHA is a pretty huge fight, and it looks like the animation is gonna be really good as well(imo the animation this season has been a step down from previous seasons. Not terrible, but below the show’s previous standards)

Yutapon will have a few cuts next week so I'm hoping for some good stuff. This season looked rather promising at the beginning but the fights have been all flat. I'm really curious if we'll see some effect on the backlog next week if the next episode turns out to be a really good one.

I thought Kirishima and Fatgum vs Rappa looked fine, but other than that, I agree. It’s a shame, since there was a lot of time between seasons. Not sure what happened.
Hopefully this next fight and the rest of the season really goes the distance in making up for the beginning.
