62.5k a volume isn’t bad, right? My expectations have been skewed so far thanks to Spy x Family’s 3 million in 3/4 volumes (I’d like to say 4, since we’re getting close to Volume 4’s release.) I hope it isn’t cancelled, I’m really enjoying it so far.

Do we have any other print numbers for Jump+?

Jigokuraku had 2 million this February, was 1 million last June. Quite a gap between the most popular and second most popular series in sales...

Start yes but was transfering since 3/4 month on Shônen Jump +. Last chapter will be out tomorrow and last volume june 4.

Another 2 weeks and a couple Kimetsu volumes should hit 3 million. How much will the series need per volume to get 100 million total sales? About 4.3 million each once all the volumes are out?

I feel like it's very likely to hit 100 million lifetime sales eventually, as long as the anime keeps going (or at least 100 million in circulation). It'd also be the shortest ever manga by original volume count to hit that number (I think a couple series got reprints that are under 23 volumes, but not in their original release). It'd be the shortest by number of years ongoing at any rate.

WEH is the second most popular iirc. Jigokuraku isnt that far off from WEH in sales I believe.

I forgot how May is going to be very uneventful in terms of sales since most of these are going to be out of the charts on their 3rd week or won't even enter it. Anyway, my fave part about S8 was always the covers, glad they delivered again with the last volume. GOTW's cover is... normal. AA's obviously my favourite by far.

Let's talk about SxF a little then.

Unless I'm forgetting something, the fastest Volume 1 to have reached 1m units sold (not shipped, so since Oricon started giving sell-through data) is Haven't You Heard? I'm Sakamoto's, which reached 1m in 48 weeks.
(Can anyone confirm that it is indeed the holder of that record? I also wonder which manga is #2 if it is, probably Assassination Classroom?)

Using Shoseki estimates, SxF's first volume should be around 809k as of April 26th. It would need to do ~39k per week for the next five weeks to beat Sakamoto (SxF's 48th week ends on May 31st), so it seems highly unlikely that it can beat it.

However, reaching 1m in a year (52 weeks) seems possible.
There are 9 weeks left until that point, meaning it would need to sell an average of ~21k per weeks to reach 1m in under a year. With the upcoming 4th volume and the reprints that just arrived, I think it can do it.
Its weekly average for the 17 weeks of 2020 is 18.3k (however it sold quite poorly these past two weeks (stock issues maybe?), since its average for the first 15 weeks of 2020 was 19.7k per week)

Finally, If it manages to consitently sell a million units per volume, then starting 2021 it will be the second best-selling manga currently running (Attack on Titan and Demon Slayer will be over, so it will just be behind One Piece. I'm ignoring Hiatus x Hiatus, but even that isn't guaranteed 1m units sold anymore). Unless Kingdom rises to a higher level, I guess

And that's without an anime

AC's 1st volume hit 1 million in print in 26 weeks approx. It debuted in Nov 2012 and by May 2013, Vol 1 was already at 1 million print.
