I mean, Samurai 8 is clearly at the very least underperformed compared to the expectations that Shueisha and everyone had from one of the biggest mangaka of all time. S8 numbers aren't bad for a new manga, but they are really below when you consider who's writing it. In my vision, the manga can even survive but it'll be on them insisting and trying an anime later on to get a new public or due to license, but those are only possibilities that I can imagine for it continuing like Zumou did.

I conjecture that Jump felt obligated to feature all of their series here, given the nature of the poster. Really the only time Yuuna appears on the cover these days are the all stars ones with the rest of the Jump characters.

For a manga that the magazine is supposed to not want to have much to do with, they did put Yuuna very big and in front of the poster
This is true (for a while). That said, this is only because the new series don't appear in the ranking yet.
