I think he changed it later on compared to the beginning. Medaka had a quite big shift in tone and all when it was about chapter 20 as before it wasn't a battle series at all but more like sket dance at the beginning but less comedic ofc.

I disagree. They brought it upon themselves by continuing to scanlate Jump manga after the launch of the WSJ app and Jump+, while still monetizing the site.
I never said that they haven't deserved it (and they did scummy moves before like with Nisekoi Final Chapter getting sniped despite not being scanned by them), but it's also a bit sad in a way. They were among the biggest scan groups who helped the manga popularity in West. 10 years isn't a small number.
I'm two minds about this. Morally, yes, they should have stopped. However, I'm guessing the site was probably their main source of income.
