I actually liked Bleach's final arc until the very end of it. But, Bleach's anime always improved on the source material, so maybe they can save it. Although, if the rumors are true, it's gonna be a brand new studio animating it.
Yeah, the anime improved the Fullbring arc by adding more elements to it. Kubo can have a hand on the final arc and even provide a more detailed flashback from 1000 years ago.
A comedy adventure/battle series. Very much like Kill la Kill or even along the lines of Cautious Hero.
The comedy in Bleach was top notch and aside from the one or two bits where he resorted to lame ecchi-ish jokes, most of the other jokes were a great break from the action.
It'll enable him to show off his cool art and design, while taking the whole characters and setting less seriously and just having fun.
I love kubo's humour and the street-level feeling of pre-soul society bleach. Like, maybe he does another battle manga but with a smaller scale and different themes from Bleach?
I say the different themes because I don't want Kubo to do the same thing that kishimoto did, who continued making a series with heavy traditional Japanese folklore style (samurais and ninjas). Not saying the samurai 8 is bad or is the same as Naruto, but making something far from your previous acclaimed series would at least deter some high expectations and comparisons

Okay. Hear me out.

Yeah, Bleach's comedy and snarky humor was probably its strongest point right next to the battle sequences. I think Burn The Witch was essentially that, though. So we'll see.
And if it does end up being a new series announcement, I pray that Nak and the WSJ editorial department has learned how to not fuck up a legend's return.
A more grounded battle Shonen that takes place in modern day and stays in the modern world.
Something that would allow his characters to sport regular street wear.

Just because the circumstances allow Production IG to train their staff doesn't mean most of the other studios could do the same. I can easily counter your argument by using seasonal shows from JC Staff like Shokugeki no Souma as an example which progressively got worse as it got sequels while "Is it Wrong to Pick Up Girls in a Dungeon?" managed to maintain its quality.
Regarding Yutaka Nakamura, I'm not sure why you mentioned him. He is a living legend who has been working in the industry since the 80s. He got where he is through talent and experience while Hiroyuki Yamashita, Chengxi Huang and the iconic episodes in Naruto are a product of the long running system. Not saying Yamashita and Huang aren't talented but it's very likely they wouldn't be where they are if they didn't have the environment that allowed them to progress. The same can be said about those iconic episodes which normally takes half an year to animate. The schedule for seasonal shows doesn't allow for such episodes which is why I said Mob Psycho and some other shows were exceptions because they have extremely good schedule.
Best thing to say is that no system is perfect. Using the long running system is a good environment for training staff and can have more long term planning for iconic episodes but less important episodes won't be given as much attention and can run into filler very easily (for those adapting from manga)
The seaonal approach can allow you to have more consistent animation throughout and even allow you to rework parts of the story though with a bad schedule, or significant staff change can mess things up.
I was going to say that the long running approach is going to overwork the staff but I found out:
(1) long running anime have teams of people who swap between chunks of episodes like a relay race
(2) Overworking is both common in both systems and in the anime industry in general
Assuming Kubo-sensei returns to the magazine, I'm realizing two things:
1) We will have Kishimoto, Oda and Tite publishing their series again simultaneously! Literally a rather nostalgic meeting.
2) I don't know with the other current authors, but Akutami-sensei (Jujutsu Kaisen) will be incredibly happy to know that Tite will return and not only that but also that he will be publishing a series together with the author that influences both his way of drawing and making character designs. If somehow Togashi-sensei returns too, then Akutami will explode from happiness lol
You can have another battle Shonen that takes place in the modern day real world while also making something extremely different than both of those.
For one thing, it doesn’t HAVE to be a series about fighting demons.
You could have a battle series strictly about martial arts that don’t involve any demons, and just focused on hand to hand combat between martial artist.
You could have a series about an alien invasion where the heroes are just trying to survive.
The possibilities could be endless.
--- Double Post Merged, ---
We currently have 4 different series that’s about fighting demons, and all 4 of them don’t feel very similar at all. So another modern setting will be fine
Something that's completely different from Bleach while retaining his usual style. Burn The Witch had too many familiar elements and the newer ones didn't clashed with them so if he returns to that I hope he fixes them (like getting rid of that horrible male MC).

That might have just been because the material they were adapting wasn't great to begin with so they were just essentially "polishing up" what they were given. It was the same with Naruto which they expanded quite a lot of Kishimoto's material presenting it in a way that made you forget it's abundant of flaws or doing shit he should have done. I honestly wish more studios would do that instead of copying the material 1:1.
Ok guys, the information on the latest batch of reprints is out and there's no Yozakura and no Mitama listed, meaning Mitama dropped on it's 4th day out of bad sales indeed. Other than that, there are reprints for the KNY fanbook going out on the 27th.

Don't think so. With so many bigger series ending this year WSJ will be careful which new series they gonna give up on. They need replacements first which they believe have a chance of gaining a readership. I actually think most of the newcomers will stick around for quite a while aka none of them gonna end in U19 club expect they are superbad. We will see what WSJ decides on their next axe meeting, if they got enough new series in their backhand, they might given Yokazura and Mitama and others the cut, if not they might give them a 2nd chance to gather more fans. And I think the latter might rather happen than the first.
Andy killed the 2 pilots in UxU ch4 right a front of the girl again, he even told her to look at how he lunched his hand, so why is killing the Chinese guy fom last chapter was a big no-no again? also their new chaser being Andy ex-lover seems pretty forced
uses of different zippers from different enemies, that was unexpected and looked cool, the brother being kidnapped and Kaname awakening the suite solo power up is again rushed, but I guess if this is getting axed they probably need to rush and wrap up loose ends
Wow, at this point, they probably have a factory solely for printing KnY copies.
Happy, for Chainsaw Man and Dr. Stone is doing pretty well for a manga in its league.
Hang in there boys, we ain’t down yet. Shueisha recognizes Mitama and Agravity Boys to be our new gag overlords of this new decade. Give them your life force
