Henceforth, I will be deleting posts that complain about Weekly Shonen Jump having too many/not enough gag/battle/exorcism/sports/etc series.

These posts are not insightful, and do not meaningfully contribute to this thread. Also, this decision is not up for discussion, so posts discussing this decision will also be deleted.~ Halloween

Wasn't the spec about A-1 just because it's gonna have Aniplex in charge? Aniplex may own A-1 but they work with plenty of other studios...

Do you guys see a chance for Hitman Reborn or Toriko to also get anime continuation of their manga adaptations in the future?

I don't even remember in what part of Toriko manga did the anime stop.
Reborn has a small chance considering it's still a profitable series, every year there's new merch being made for the series even though it ended ages ago, same as KnB and BLEACH... Toriko on the other hand...

This is why i didn't take much of the called "criticism" seriously, because you could totally separate who just didn't liked the series, made their criticism and moved on from the ones who were much more just using S8 and the sales to externalize a personal hate against Kishi/Naruto, it was always a unnecessary aggressive tone and mocking the low sales as if it was a personal pleasure to see Kishimoto fail, a example being that Bleach fanatic Jaymes on Twitter recently mocking the sales probably because he has some inferiority complex.
Jaymes is a racist fool.

All signs are pointing to A1 pictures, seeing how BtW is being done by Colorado (a twin engine company) twin engine might be on the production committee as well. So studio Voln is an option as well, they have experience with semi long running anime
I don't see how you made that connection from A-1 Pictures to Colorido. It makes no sense whatsoever when they have no relation

probably, A1 fits Yozakura's style very well, kaguya mixed with seven deadly sins/
Guys, that's not how it works. You won't get something like Kaguya unless the staff from it is working on other anime on A-1, and not only they are already busy with Kaguya but they are probably already booked in other projects on other studios. If it gets adapted by A-1, it won't be the same staff and the quality regardless of good or bad will be completely different. Less thinking on the brands and more on the fact that different people work on those different anime, so the quality vary between them.

All I’ve heard was speculation that Aniplex might be buying the Bleach property or something. Which, if true, would make studios such as A-1 Pictures, CloverWorks (which spin off from A-1), or even Ufotable are more likely.

As stated above, however, it’s more or less the staff that matters, not the studio.

That being said, if they don’t let the Kaguya team alternate between that and a future Spy x Family anime, someone on the production committee fucked up.

Or Shaft. Those are the four that works the most with Aniplex titles. A-1 and Cloverworks are subsidiaries of course, so most will go to them, but ufotable and Shaft are with Aniplex for decades with Monogatari, Madoka, Fate, etc.

btw I saw this and I find it amazing how much misinformation is packed on the article. The guy even said that Boruto was cancelled on WSJ.

A solution is hard to figure out to solve this problem. Other publications offer manga-ka on a far less stressful schedule. Some Weekly Shonen Jump titles that have been cancelled have migrated over to other magazines -- for example, Boruto was moved to Weekly Shonen Jump's affiliated magazine, V Jump.
I also love how in the text he thinks this thing this schedule is unique to WSJ.

New production committee so it won't be Pierrot, and btw Black Clover is already set to "end/take a break" after episode 154 according to it's director, unless the production committee decides to extend it ofc, but as of now the director has confirmed 154 episodes as the episode count
May I get a source on that? It sounds like really important information that I want to share.

He only confirmed that the anime was extended for 154 episodes, he didn't implied anything about ending.

That's why I said it could be still be extended, but as of now it's set for 154 episodes, this is also the first time that he's mentioned a definitive episode count

I didn't separate my points sorry about that, the a1 and colorido points are separate. Colorido is a twin engine subsidiary which is why i mentioned them.

My main concern right now is about Jujutsu Kaisen anime. We are getting a lot of anime information for Fall lately but Jujutsu is missing, and there also isn't any sign of info coming in Jump.

I'm starting to think Jujutsu anime is getting delayed to 2021.

If the rumored director ends up being true, then it's quite possible that production hasn't really started yet since they're currently busy with another anime (The God of High School). That was just a rumor though, so who knows?

I hope it gets delayed rather than being rushed out. If it is MAPPA, they've got too much on their plate, then again, when do they have a healthy production schedule to begin with? They take on a lot of projects.

Considering the lack of any kind of information at least makes me think the anime will be 24 episodes and they're taking the time to deliver something good, only 12 episodes would be kinda underwhelming like BNHA S1 at the time

If we're lucky TOHO might drop a visual/PV on the 21st, but it's strange that TOHO hasn't said or planned anything for every series that they planned to feature at the TOHO Animation booth at AnimeJapan, the only 2 series we've gotten news on are Haikyu!! (Livestream on 21st) and BNA, they haven't mentioned what they're doing with My Hero Academia's cancelled stage or other series such as Dr Stone and Jujutsu Kaisen

If it were going to be 24+ episodes and airing in Fall or Winter, you'd think we'd get at least the character designs by now considering we've already gotten the cast, best case scenario for Jujutsu would be split cour imo

A 24 episode anime series sounds like a disaster if it is MAPPA given how many projects they have

Regarding the new Bleach anime, you think its possible for the light novels to get adapted as well? I didnt followed the series, only hearing whats already being said about the ending and how some of the novels filled in some of the gaps left by the manga

People in the sakuga community who have connections in the industry have been hinting that its MAPPA. Yonkou said it too but anyway it's not confirmed and I'm going on the assumption that it is MAPPA.

That key visual screams MAPPA to me anyway
