Honestly I’d be so disappointed if Burn The Witch was just a short serialization though. This series looks Sooooooo hype. The movie looks amazing.

So far they only been calling it a “weekly manga series”. No mention of it being a short run

So, apparently the Burn The Witch anime being developed simultaneously with the serialization. If that's the case, then I can see how this can be a movie, instead of just an OVA. If I understand this correctly, then this is going to be really interesting, potentially seeing the first couple of chapters become adapted into a movie so goddamn soon.

With the initial translation we got on Burn The Witch not explicitly saying “this is a mini series”, and with there no mention of it being a mini series on the live stream every time it’s brought up; its been referred to as a weekly publication and nothing but that everytime; I’m just going to assume Burn The Witch is the same deal as every other new weekly jump series.

The animal crossing line could mean nothing more than “I finished the first batch of chapters already, so I have time to play animal crossing right now”

It definitely sounds like a miniseries if Kubo's finished the manuscripts and just chilling now (which you can't do when making new chapters), and since they mentioned part of the reason the new manga happened is because they needed more content to make a full movie.

We still need to wait for official confirmation but it's more likely than not

Yeah during the livestream with all the talk of "weekly series" I was convinced it'd be an ongoing thing, but the reiteration of the whole manuscript thing makes me think it'll probably just be something like the Byakuya Dr Stone series, that'd also be plenty to fill a movie. Guess we'll just have to wait and see, it'll probably become absolutely clear at least before it starts

Yeah, they clearly mentioned the manga was to help Burn the Witch have more content for the movie. So it's definitely not gonna be a long serialization.
And again in the stream he said that the manuscript is done and he is gonna be chilling with Animal Crossing by the time we read it.

Also, Bleach art exhibition! That's something I hope comes to Toronto or something. Close to zero chances for that but one can hope I guess. For now they said it's just Japan.

And they also said since it's the final arc in the manga, they want the anime for Thousand Year Blood War arc to be as good as it can be. The fact that they didn't mention a studio for that yet hints it might not be Pierrot. We will see I guess.

“Finished Manuscripts” is a vague term. The writer of The Promised Neverland once mentioned in a interview that the entire manuscript for the Gracefield arc was finished before the serialization and how he spent a while developing it with editors.

And there have been plenty of times where the mangaka have mention playing new videos games during their serialization within the author comments.

It could be short. But finishing a manuscript could just mean he finished the first arc, or first few arcs, and now has a little free time to play a new game. It’s too vague a term in the world of comic books to
