New Kimetsu spoilers doesn't mean in any way that the series is being extended. This new development was quite predictable actually and can easily be concluded in the 4 chapters remaining in volume 23.

Four chapters? As someone who doesn't follow the manga, even I can tell how ridiculous that sounds. Best sweet spot would be longer than 5, but not more than 10.

-Mori King is ANOTHER GAG. What's with Nak and gags in every new serialization round? By Spring Weapon n.1 author. Oneshot:
-Bone Collection had an oneshot last year that was meh. It looks like the typical action oneshot that gets serialized just to be axed. The girl drawing has improved a lot though. Oneshot:
-Time Paradox Ghost Writer is the one looking the most interesting of the bunch, but I fear the type of story is the one that usually gets the axe. Author is new, artist is the Cross Account author.

There obviously isn't going to be an extended fight against Demon Tanjiro because he is literally invincible/immune to sunlight and the remaining few heroes are walking corpses. He is going to get talk no jutsu'd and tamed by Nezuko just like what he did to Nezuko first chapter.

Why are you guys so obsessed with ending within volume 23? The final volumes aren't necessarily forced to fill the whole thing, Assassination Classroom's volume 21 was only 3 chapters and the rest got filled with extras, Yu yu hakusho had less chapters and Togashi did some sketches to fill the rest. IIRC Slam Dunk also had less chapters in the final volume and there's bound to be some more that I don't remember right now.

I'm not saying it's guaranteed to take that route but it's not really "either 4 or 13".

In addition to the Jump+ one-shot, looks like the writer also did this 4-volume series back in 2017.

You're right. It could still go on for few more chapters and end in vol 24 or even 25 but what I was mostly against was the idea that this is the beggining of part 2 and that it will go on for dozen more volumes

Yeah I can agree with that. Kimetsu will probably end within this round and the next is my guess.

Talking about international sales

Here in Mexico we don't really have any charts about sales but there's a comic seller that publishes their sales across their 17 stores in the country, take it with huge grain of salt though, it's not even the main comic store since here in Mexico panini which is the most important manga publisher also has their stores called Panini Points (way more than 17) but they don't publish their best sellers.

Also keep in mind that KnY just got released here in Mexico so those volumes had less time to sell than the others, though KnY also got volumes 1-2 released at the same time, so who knows if it got 3rd with the sales of both volumes or only one.

Anyway here are sales for this particular comic seller here in Mexico:
