Best chapters this week for me would probably be JJK, Black Clover, Mitama, Mashle and Undead.

Bone Collection was ok. Some of the things it mentioned showed than Kirarazaka has some ideas in how to expand the world, it could go either way right now.

Bone Collection isn't for me I guess. It comes off as generic and I don't like the drawings. Like, at all.

Whenever Mashle tried to be serious, I didn't really like it. This chapter was enjoyable though. The spikey hair dude is dumb but I kinda like him. Let's see whether his situation will be resolved with the usual one punch or if the mangaka can surprise me with another solution.

Yozakura was really heartwarming. Taiyo is a great big brother, I have to say. Still, I wish the main story continues soon.

Mitama was golden. The competition was hilarious and I think it's a great idea to shed some light on Rena's family situation. I'm curious what's the deal with her father, especially after what her mother said on the last page...
Also, I want Mitama to become Renas father. Or rather her mother lol.

What I personally liked about Bone Collection that separates it from a lot of exorcist series I’ve personally read is that it exists in a modern setting where yokai and demons are just so normal and common knowledge for the entire world.

I thought it was interesting how a all the background characters could just be casually walking around and see a yokai and go “ooh. An exorcist should be here to take care of that” *continues walking*

Not saying that’s never been done. I’ve just never seen it personally.
I enjoyed the first chapter as much as I enjoy any series. But I’m interested in seeing how the lore of the world is treated. I can see it being very interesting as yokai is a regular part of life in this world, and regular people can even befriend them.

Great: Bone Collection, My Hero, Chainsaw Man, Haikyuu, Jujutsu Kaisen

Good: KnY, OP, Dr. Stone, We Never Learn, Mashle, Act-Age, Mitama Security, Undead Unluck

Average: Black Clover, Guardian of the Witch

Meh: Moriking, Yozakura Family, Agravity Boys

I really liked Bone Collection to be honest.Although it’s sticking to an easy formula I think it was still really well done and lays out what it needs to be successful. Better than most of the new series besides Undead Unluck I’ve seen thus far.

World Trigger did that. I agree though. Really like the world the mangaka is building.

Bone Collection was...eh. The art is really amateurish in many places, the characters are weak, there's no real narrative hook, and there's just...not much of anything there. The writing of "Mediocre boi and supa-girl" is something I've seen in a lot of LNs, only the series does it in such a banal manner that there's not much of anything insofar as worth.

let's clear this up, a double issue =/= 2 chapters, they do it so that on paper they have all 52 issues, but in reality there are only 48 physical magazine (Golden Week break, Obon break, christmas break and new year break)

Best chapters for me this week are
1) Mori King (pleasantly surprised! Genuinely funny and wholesome, reminds me of Saiki sometimes)
2) Act-Age (this was a refreshing chapter, but yeah Kei could probably get fired if this were real life
3) Agravity Boys (This series is getting really good recently, got a lot of chuckles from it, but I understand if people think the jokes are too centered on "getting girls")
4) JJK (fight is heated, well explained and logical science)
5) Black Clover (new power mechanics look creative, but super shame for it's plummet in the impressions)

On Bone Collection, my disappointment came from my assumption of the MC being a girl based on the covers and previews. The chapter itself was alright, there's definitely some potential, hope that the author steers this well

Translation should be mostly accurate but y'know, there might be a few weird bits.

Just a quick look in Bone Collection and well, i was even more right than i thought Rain totally different from the one shot, it was already pretty obvious from the color page and preview but i didn't thought the author would change so much but i kinda liked the more "typical" exorcist clothes of the characters, it feels strangely refreshing on Shonen Jump since everything related to exorcists lately has to be something "different and modern".

One-shots are literally pilots. It's entirely likely Jun Kirarazaka simply felt that the oneshots setup didn't work for a serialization.

Sword: The Manga

I've been saying this for a while. He was very reminiscent of Rumiko Takahashi's manga.
Especially Rinner, so it seemed to me that he will go more to the side of the novel, largely because of the childhood friend and other elements of romance that he had in that first chapter.

I found Bone Collection premise lazy, the characters cliched, the art bad, the fanservice super forced
I enjoyed nothing about it

Mori King second chapter was just as bland as the first chapter, but the introduction of the other king candidates makes it even more Gash Bell than before
I'm waiting to see how they handle the fighting (if there is any) because I don't see myself invested in this world with current set up

I said it after Mashle first chapter and I'll say it again, this manga reminds me more of One Piece than OPM/MP100
spike hair volunteering to take the attacks reminds me of Kuma and Zoro
also I see a lot of people compare the comedy to Beelzebub but to me it's more like Helck

Yozakura is low key one of the manga I look forward to the most each week, the last few chapters have been pretty good tbf
