Moderator Notice:
Henceforth, I will be deleting posts that complain about Weekly Shonen Jump having too many/not enough gag/battle/exorcism/sports/etc series.

These posts are not insightful, and do not meaningfully contribute to this thread. Also, this decision is not up for discussion, so posts discussing this decision will also be deleted.~ Halloween

Good issue this weak, with the usual quality. Most notable chapters to me for better or for worse.
Bone Collection wasn't bad at all, and even if the first chapter as a whole couldn't give a strong impression and a hook, it still had those little unique elements in that bland whole that could make this interesting depending on the direction it takes with them. It's way too late to write this one off.
Moriking is having a perfect start imo. The gags aren't just great (both for little kids and dirty jokes for adults that they woldn't catch) but they are all utilised efficiently to build and develop the plot, characters and world. With lore that could also open the door for genuine drama or action later on. Good stuff.
KnY was super underwhelming. Not sure what the point was to this finale. It was unnecessary to add this this way, only making it a few chapters long and not an entire arc with more substance makes the whole point and inner conflict mute. Not to mention this old, overused corny-ass visual symbolism that would be lame even in an anime opening at this point. Still liked the idea very much, but not the execution.
And just as I thought Jujutsu's fights were dropping in quality it bounced way back up with this creative scenario. Although I do think this arc is getting bloated with too many fights and I'm losing a sense of time and space of it all. It better be worth it and develop or tie up some of these minor plotlines permanently.

I think no one really cares about Yozakura at this point.
I'll put off the fact that I like it because I am only one person, but it's ranked solidly in the middle of the forum poll for the last stretch of issues for the most part, I don't think it's won over many hardcore fans, but it certainly has an audience here.

Speaking of one-shots, this is the one I've always wanted to read, it somehow reminds me of Chainsaw-man. Is it any good?

I’ve never read it, but can see where the Twin Star Exorcists comparisons are coming from.
Damn, you really see the difference in skill here.

I am also on the "Like Yozakura Club.

It's got some flaws, but recent arcs at least been slowly improving. The members of the family get more development for once, which was one of my initial complaints with the earlier chapters. You have all these cool relatives in this spy family and only the main girl and older brother gets the most attention. The marriage arc at least give us more focus on the other relatives more that could use more screen time.

since we have many Yozakura fans here at the moment let's talk about it

I noticed that everytime I bring up Yozakura it's always about a a continuity error I found

the cat brother (disguise expert, who even disguised as women in a previous chapter) being absent from the politician arc chapters and Taiyo doing it
the grandparents being absent from the wedding chapter

is this manga has more plot holes than normal or is it just me?

also, on the topic of Yozakura
is Taiyo a Mary Sue? succeed in everything he tries, has no weaknesses, everyone think highly of him, can take down more experienced spies and criminal, everytime he is given a task he over delivers

hmmm....

Incidentally, checking the chapter from blogs, Yuuna has gotten to resolving literally the driving question of the series from Chapter 1.

Yeah, ending seems imminent.

I get the impression Hitsuji is still figuring out what exactly he wants to do with the characters, as if he had their designs all decided from the start and a vague idea of their powers but didn't have much plans for them as characters.

It'd explain why they mostly disappeared for 20 chapters.

I would not consider Kengo (cat brother) not being prominent in the Kuroyuri arc a continuity error, just a huge wasted opportunity, and yes, the grandparents chapter was stupid imo, should not have happened. Maybe it has more holes than most of the other series in the mag, but I wouldn't really call it enough to be really egregious.

first question: We don't know what kengo was doing at the time. They probably need to divert attention on stuff and all of them seem very much on the job all the time as they always ask taiyo for help.

second: Somewhat. However he's grown as a person and that at least makes him more entertaining to me personally. He used to get tortured every chapter no question and have no skills to back himself up. The Kuroyuri arc fleshed him out a bit so that was good.

It’s Yuuna. We’ll probably go back to more ecchi shenanigans after this before maybe actually focusing on resolving the romantic plot. At this point, Yuuna ends when it wants to end.

Inb4 more Kimetsu no Yaiba.

Unless there is somehow a bigger and stronger demon organization out there or a time skip planned.

It's gonna be Kimetsu no Yaiba: Part 2. Part of me has been thinking about that in a prohibition era America or smth, with guns taking the place of the swords in the power system. Would be fun to see.

Oh no. God help us if we’re getting mangaka inspired by Twin Star of all series in the lineup.

I'd say "imminent" is currently a bit strong of a word to use. It's ending soon relatively speaking, much the same way Bokuben is ending relatively soon. I'd estimate Yuragi's length will end up being somewhere in the range of 24-26 volumes. So anywhere from a few more months to the end of the year.

Demon hunting in 1920's America? I would read the shit out of that.

Perhaps, but maybe it'll play differently now that certain developments have occured and every main girl has had their "moment". The staus quo will change once this arc is done.

The two "typical" gag series of the magazine had at the same week a chapter where the family got back at home for the first time just to find the daughter with a unknown man, this has to be planned by Hasegawa and Tsurun lol

I think no one really cares about Yozakura at this point.
That's a low quality bait even for you kkkkk

I think the biggest problem of the first chapter of the first chapter of Bone collection, is the fact that the first chapter didn't had a conclusion. It ended on a cliffhanger that can give us a huge payoff or not. I think that the fact we skipped a week, kinda of spoiled this even more. (Obvious this skip, given the situation, was necessary and inevitable)

I found the art pretty average, and considering that the author is a newbie, i find it okay, him being amateur in some places.

So to those who disliked. What makes the art of Bone collection so bad?
