Moderator Notice:
Henceforth, I will be deleting posts that complain about Weekly Shonen Jump having too many/not enough gag/battle/exorcism/sports/etc series.

These posts are not insightful, and do not meaningfully contribute to this thread. Also, this decision is not up for discussion, so posts discussing this decision will also be deleted.~ Halloween

Lol. Funny thing came to my mind.
So basically even if you combined all other WSJ series' volumes for July, it would still be lower than KNY #21 technically.

One Piece #97 is shifted too. It was due out on July 3 but will finally be released on August 4.

Black Clover 23 didn't have a 4th week in Oricon to make a clear comparison, however it had sold 169,810 by its 3rd week, so we can assume volume 24 is still under by a few thousand copies.
Ah makes sense, thanks for the info.

I wonder what’s with all the shifting going on? July seems a bit too stacked, and that’s not even counting Kimetsu. I wonder if it’s due to COVID or if it’s part of some strategy...

If Volume 20 really is the last volume of TPN, I'm guessing it got moved to sync up the release schedule with the anime (at least before it got delayed). If Volume 19 is in July, in three months they could have released 20 to coincide with Season 2, Episode 1 (which is now when the rebroadcast will be). If the series is able to go on for at least another volume, I can see that being released in January for Season 2.

I know someone was keeping track of all the Shōnen Jump movie adaptations but was anyone doing that for tv series adaptations?

Eww, the font still looks awful to me. Chiyoko didn't deserve this!
At least the purple masks the ugly font to a small extent, but yeah I don't understand how Viz manages to butcher the titles so badly. It's like they're using WordArt from Microsoft Word to make the titles...

Doesn’t it look like the font they used for the Japanese?

I heard that og font is supposed to look like signature and in viz hands it turns into some kind of weird water-soak printer font.
Sasuga viz, graphic design is their passion.
