Moderator Notice:
Henceforth, I will be deleting posts that complain about Weekly Shonen Jump having too many/not enough gag/battle/exorcism/sports/etc series.

These posts are not insightful, and do not meaningfully contribute to this thread. Also, this decision is not up for discussion, so posts discussing this decision will also be deleted.~ Halloween

So has Tokyo Ghoul, Kingdom, and Terra ForMars. Having a special chapter for advertising purpose doesn't make something an honorary series. Shueshia jjust likes to promote their series across their various magazines at times.
That's pretty common for popular Jump+ series. Summer Time Rendering and Jigokuraku (along with a few other less popular ones) also got special chapters in Jump, but they're all still distinctly Jump+ series.

None of these series need to be tied to the "main magazine" to qualify their success, they already speak for themselves (especially SPY x FAMILY). I couldn't be happier that Jump+ is beginning to establish itself as it's own unique service.
Let me have some fun with my headcanon please friends.:3c

For a series that had pretty nice color pages for its first two chapters, I don't really think that the cover for Guardian of the Witch looks good at all. Looks a bit tacky and slapped together. Best covers in this posting go to Aharen-san and 2.5D Seduction.

Since Kimetsu is ending next week, what will happen to it on mangaplus? Will they leave it as it is (first and last 3 chapters), remove or treat it like older series where they release everything starting from chapter 1?

I think it's too new to get a daily or weekly jump classic release like Naruto, Bleach, Kenshin, etc, it'll just have the first and last three series on Manga+ like all the other series translated by Viz. Samurai 8, Yui Kamio, and the various shorter flops viz did are all like that on Manga+.

Was about to say...wtf was a hyper violent seinen manga doing being promoted in Shonen Jump? I thought that there was some restrictions on these types of crosspromotions.

But if this is the case, then a Golden Kamuy promotion might not be too far fetched...

What do you think about a Magical Girl serialization but with a bit more mature theme to it? Like Mahou Shoujo Madoka Magica. I think it would make waves if done well in WSJ and it’s not a bad deal. Also have there ever been serializations about magical girls in WSJ?
there's that one Nisekoi spinoff by WNL author

maybe ONE and Murata will something with Dangan Tenshi Fan Club in the future

Lol, I hear ya.
Tbh it would be really cool if Manga+ would start adding Young Jump series as well.
seconding this
I don't understand why Tokyo Ghoul and Terra Formas are the only 2 series from WYJ on there
OPM, Kaguya, Golden Kamuy seems like obvious choices for western audiences, and they're already licensed and everything
Kingdom never

No, but it seems evident that she's been an assistant of his since after the Chrollo x Hisoka fight maybe even before. Her art style pops up a lot.
Her wiki page mentions she helped out in the beginning, but eventually found it too demanding (though they don't give any citation there). The two things we have are from volumes 1 and 5. But yeah, I wouldn't be surprised if she still helped with things here and there.

Kind of off topic, but this WT cover is so well done. Look at these colors.

Lmao, how did I forget that magical girl doormat spinoff?

Also about young jump series on manga+, I wish they make an adult version (called it manga+ nighttime, or after hour) for young jump and other adultish titles.

Lol I haven't heard the name Odex in yeeeears.
I remember importing some of their One Piece english dub dvds back in the day when 4kids was still doing theirs.
Luffy's voice was so weird.

The CPs of WT were always a treat but with his current condition I doubt we will see many more of them. I hope for a couple more though because I really liked the animal/cube theme he had going with his 4 MCs and how their attire, weapon, stand, facial expression and so on changed.

@James Rye I need to read/watch World Trigger, seems awesome.

So a question just popped into my mind, what's the newest series that had gotten an artbook?

I don't remember for example Assasination Classrom or Kuroko getting artbooks?? Though maybe I'm wrong?

What about MHA? I assume Kimetsu doesn't have an artbook out simply because the popularity growth was too fast for Shueisha to have had an artbook editted or printed.. but at this point it just seems like a no brainier to make an artbook with the color pages and stuff from the entire series?

You should, the start is slow with its first twenty chapters but it really picks up later plus WT is one of those series where rereading makes the story even better because all your future knowledge make you understand certain characters or situations better for why they act the way they act or why this or that happened in the first place. I have reread it like a dozen times and I am still noticing new stuff that hints at characterization only shown much later in the series. Even side charas have them, like someone mentioned that another agent is his teacher and only later you realize "ooooh, he is using the same gun and shield type like his teacher" which really shows of who he is a pupil from. But you wouldn't notice on the first read because the mentor of that side chara gets shown much later.^^
