Henceforth, I will be deleting posts that complain about Weekly Shonen Jump having too many/not enough gag/battle/exorcism/sports/etc series.

These posts are not insightful, and do not meaningfully contribute to this thread. Also, this decision is not up for discussion, so posts discussing this decision will also be deleted.~ Halloween

This is a bit off topic, but what's your guys' favourite manga in Jump that got cancelled?

My favourite one is definitely Teenage Renaissance David-kun. I still think it was one of the best comedy manga in Jump in recent years. I'm guessing it didn't gain any popularity in Japan because Japanese readers didn't get most of the western references, which is pretty sad because the comedy was gold.
the last saiyuki I loved it but the pacing was horrible it was so slow and there was too much info dumping

tell that to yuuna and almost 80% of the harem ecchi manga.
I stopped reading Yuuna after a while, but really loved it for the first year. Personally I think Miura has a lot of identity. Belonging to a genre you don't like doesn't take away the talent of the mangaka or quality of the series.

Yuuna had solid characters though. It's what made me so attached to the series in the first place. Kogarashi is miles ahead of most MCs. The art was it's greatest asset, but great art means nothing if the characters don't live up to it.
Also Yuuna is my waifu so there's that too....

I didn't have the opportunity to ask to my friends from Brazil here. (hope is not off-topic)
What were your opinion when Hinata went to Brazil arc?
All those Brazilian expressions were fascinating stuff to me and on point.
Furudate really did a good job on the research imo

Gonna love to hear the voice actor for this:

Ohh, Ayakashi Triangle chapter 1 is pretty good!!

Action, not much eiichi (for now), very good art (well, it's Kentaro Yabuki :)) and chapter turns around in the end.

Can't wait for chapter 2 :hearts

Are you allowed to say what the "twist" is (with a spoiler tag)?

Wouldn't it be better to create a topic for the Ayakashi triangle, since people want to comment on the spoilers?

No, at least not now. I'm sure many here'll just wait till Sunday and post impressions here till the series reaches it's third volume.

EDIT: Ya know, I realized something. I'm pretty sure we were the most hyped for Guardian of the Witch out of the batch it was in. And now, coming out of it, we might actually have two survivors out of three - neither of which are GoTW. xD Funny how that works.

Guardian was there so we wouldn't overhype Undead and Mashle and jinx things.

Well, Guardian did have a really good first chapter.

Too bad the pace died after that.

For me kurogane, stealth symphony, the last suyuki, takama-ga-hara and iron knight. Really liked the premise and world of these series but exclusion wasn’t there (except kurogane, felt robbed with that one).
Stealth Symphony one of the best manga ever, it had amazing reception and so many positive sentiments on this might fine sight back in the day.

Id add, BozeBeats, BestBLue, Ziga, Shudan, neo;lation, Mononofu, too.

Mx0- surprised no one mentioned this. This was a very funny and unique battle shonen that I think would have became a hit. It has a pretty intriguing battle system and some pretty good fights. At a time that I feel a lot of battle shonen we’re trying to be like the big 3 it’s cool to see something that is clearly inspired by it and puts a unique twist to the genre. Sadly the manga is incomplete.

Enigma- engaging story, great suspense that makes you want to read the next chapter, lovable characters, and high stakes. Despite it being cancelled there is a decent amount of chapters and it actually ends pretty well.

Ziga- This was a pretty cool premise with imo an amazing first chapter. I can see why it was cancelled but it doesn’t change my love for this series.

Illegal rare- this manga was absolutely amazing. I can’t see a single reason why they canned it. The sales for the manga were actually pretty decent. I know for sure if jump kept this series it would have been a hit (especially considering the fact that it has built a following overseas early on).

I think my favorite cancelled series is Noah's Notes. It had a good setup, interesting characters and was fun to read.

Just thinking if it survived, it probably would have had an Anime Adaption announced like Jujutsu Kaisen by now.

Haven't read many cancelled series from before Viz started releasing all of them so I definitely have recency bias but probably Last Saiyuki, also Hungry Marie, but I never finished it, think they finished Editing it so I should get on that at some point.

I will defend Ole Golazo and Ultra Battle Satellite to my grave

I wholeheartedly believe there’s another universe out there where Ultra Battle Satellite survived that round instead of Black Clover and in that universe we’re discussing the Ufotable produced UBS anime
