After reading so many comments this week on jp twitter worrying about Cop and Dolphin last bad rankings its good to see the series rising at least for a week
--- Double Post Merged, , Original Post Date: ---
Agravity Boys is unlikely to be ending this round after the last cp and also the story doesnt give any sign of ending, ofc not impossible since its SJ, but doesnt give the vibe.
More low ranking series have been getting CPs recently so I wouldn't say that guarantees its safety. As for the story wrapping up, I could easily see it concluding in 1-2 chapters without it seeming rushed, it'd just be the typical manic/random pacing it already has.
That being said I would be happy if it did survive (yet again). If the next round is only two new series then we might get away with just Moriking ending.
So there is a full reprint scheduled for the 10th, and 2 weeks before it's even done they're scheduling another full reprint on the 17th. And there's jujutsu as well...
Yeah, oricon is not gonna be fun. For quite a while.

In the case of Agravity boys, he has a good internal reception so I don't think he's at risk of cancellation, even with sales not increasing.
With Moriking, he did not have good sales either in the 1st or the 2nd volume. Then there is no salvation.
Not surprised at Phantom Seer dropping to the bottom, my guess from the start has been that it'd do well on the first chapter then slide to the bottom over the next few. I don't think it's done much to get people invested since then either, I can maybe see the chapter of the sister being girl Gojo doing well but I haven't got much faith in it besides that.
Blood Oath looks about as expected too, right in the middle pretty much which is a typical first placement. I can't imagine it performing too well in the next couple issues but maybe it'll climb back up after a bit since it seems to be getting better at storytelling in the last couple chapters. I can't picture it going up top unless it significantly improves, but I could maybe see it sticking around at the edge of the bottom like Yozakura was doing until recently.
Though considering the current state of the magazine, both should hang around for long enough to attempt a few different ideas anyway (unless there's a big batch in February), so I'm curious to see if either series will be able to capture a stable fanbase.
I expected Haikyuu reaching this number sooner or later, but it still was really surprising since the manga arrived at the 40 million number like 4 months ago.
Also it is a little funny seeing Agravity Boys right back to dead last when it recently just got a colour page. I suppose the colour was probably for longevity more than anything else, to show that even Shueisha's surprised that they're keeping it around for so long.
I feel like it might be building to the finale right now however since the current arc could lead to ending stuff, so my guess is it'll live through the WNL batch but be gone in the one after unless it suddenly manages to jump up (which seems unlikely at this point) or if all the new series sell terribly.

Moriking and Agravity Boys looks like lock-ins for the next to be cancelled, everything else is fluctuating enough to survive. Unless of course it'll be a big batch of new serialisations but that's less likely.
We need 4 series to start for both to be cancelled. Remember Act-age was never replaced and We Never Learn is ending in about 7 weeks so that's 2 spots right there. If they only start 2 new series nothing would be axed at all.

I was working under the assumption that we would have a new round of serialisations around Issue 51-52 and then another when We Never Learn ends. I imagine we'll either get:
A small batch at the end of 2020 (ie Issue 51-52, pre-WNL ending) and another small batch around Issue 3-4 onwards (WNL ending, Pre-1000th One Piece chapter)
OR one large batch crossing over the two issue years which would include WNL ending
It's already been 10 issues since the last serialisation started so could come at any point now.
I doubt it, there's been a lot of long runners ending this year meaning there was always something keeping it safe. But once WNL's gone, the only series that seems likely to end naturally next year is Chainsawman, so it won't have that extra safety net each batch.
Really it'll come down to how Magu-chan and Cop and Dolphin sell. Roboco seems to be doing well enough and I'm sure at least one of the newest batch will hang around for a little while, so unless both of those perform terribly Agravity will probably be gone on the next batch of 3.
Honestly if not for Act-age's sudden cancellation, I think it would be ending with WNL in November-December.

I agree it'll be very hard for Agravity Boys to survive much longer. In terms of how well each series is doing I'd say it's something like:
- I wouldn't yet consider JJK a pillar. It's almost certainly going to be by the time 2021 comes though.
- I'm including Burn the Witch because Volume 1 will probably round out at 200,000 copies and it's continuing seasonally.
- I only really put Black Clover above Chainsaw Man due to its ongoing anime keeping buzz around the series.
Moriking is dead, Agravity Boys close behind it. The three new series could change in the coming weeks (Phantom Seer's initial rankings aren't great, too early to tell with High School Family and Our Blood Oath) and when the volume sales for the Hard-Boiled Cop and Dolphin and Magu-chan comes out we'll get a better idea. Me & Roboco has very solid rankings, it doesn't look to be in immediate danger. The rest are all safe or established.
Basically, multiple series will need to show signs of failing in the coming weeks/month. A couple might do, but I doubt enough to save Agravity Boys for much longer.

Two new batches that close would really mean it's one big batch of 4 series, two issues is not a big enough gap for them to promote it as two different batches. I think it's more likely that we get new series in #1, #2 and #3 or even something like #52, #1, and #2 and just have WNL as an extra series for a issue or two (it's not like they'd be desperate for space considering how often OP and MHA take breaks).
Having 10+ issues in between new series is nothing too strange, there was a big gap last year between Tokyo Shinobi Squad in #27 and Yozakura in #39.

well, I don't think you can trust November sales so much, as it looks like it will be a weak month to jump, because veterans only have haikyuu, Dr Stone and Yozakura.
Apart from that Roboko and magu chan only need internal reception, they don't need to have very high sales. So I think it's easy to save Agravity boys again.

Look, it's easier to imagine a transfer to Agravity boys than it is canceled.
So far the jump has shown no indication that he will be axed and he also has other manga that can serve as a shield.
