Accessing Jump Festa 2021 Online's activities will involve using a dedicated app, which will start distribution in early December. You can also unlock original characters created by Jump mangaka to go around the virtual venue with using coins.

Hopefully they have good servers for this....

Straight up making up popularity in Chapter 3 is something that you would expect from Nakano. Like yeah, sure, we're supposed to believe they saw amazing popularity in one chapter and increased chapter 3 pages even after being a name already submitted to the editorial and after organizing the issue. Omegalul.
There are a couple of series that performed amazing since chapter 1, IIRC Hokuto No Ken is the manga that had the most votes for its first chapter ever (memory might be foggy here, but IIRC I read it in Bakuman, if anyone remembers better please do say so), One Piece also must have ranked #1 since its first chapter because since its very first chapters it was almost always a top 5 manga and after chapters 12 almost always a top 3 manga if we go by the 8-week rule its first real rank was 4th with his 9th chapter.
Dragon Ball was also heavily promoted since its beginning, being the next manga after Dr.Slump its chapter 2 was #2, chapters 3 and 4 were lead color page, of course, we know how successful Dragon Ball also ended up being, but it was also heavily promoted without it already having achieved its merit because it was promoted in week 2,3,4, etc so they wouldn't have known how popular or unpopular it ranked (I know, I know.. Toriyama like Shimabukuro was a veteran at the time so of course it got better threatment).

But yeah.. what I'm saying is in both cases those titles just got promoted because of the veteran author or they must have a magic ball or something because it's impossible that they would know the results before chapter 3 was done haha

Yes, but the planning and printing for the next issue with the preview for Chapter 3 should already be done long before Chapter 1 is even published, let alone before the results of voter questionnaires are in.

Proofreading is usually finished 2.5 weeks prior to an issue's release so they have planned this for a while. Nakano is betting too much on this one.

This isn’t going to receive the same level of push as S8, if that’s what you guys are worried about.

Hell, I doubt it gets a Toriko-level push.

Dragon Ball was actually not popular at all at first, so much so that the series risked cancellation early on according to Torishima.

Massive hype for Magu-chan's placement! Roboco and Undead both looking good too, and Yozakura isn't alarmingly low either, although I'm surprised that chapter it's supposedly ranked for isn't higher. The Sakamoto Days CP looked fantastic as well.
Magu-chan Vomic full version:

Magu has exactly the deep voice I was hoping for him to have.
Loved this. Can't wait for the next one! Ruru's voice suited her perfectly, and I'm glad they went with a deep-voiced Magu-chan instead of one with a comically high-pitched voice in his small form. I really hope sales can grow starting with the next volume, and that its initial print count will be a bit higher.

Ive been reading this forum since a long time now , and finally i decided to join. :amuse

I really hope we get an official anime confirmation for CSM soon, especially since is most likely in its final chapters.

Yeah, that one. I mostly heard it from sakubutas and they got it right with Jujutsu Kaisen. My biggest worry if it goes to MAPPA is that their compositing absolutely sucks and Chainsaw Man is a series that needs masterful compositing to be done justice. Jujutsu Kaisen's action scenes are cool and well done but damn the Domain Expansions have been underwhelming so far.
Eh, i mean, are we watching the same show? I can give you a pass with Sukunas domain expansion in episode 4 (and that was more of a directing choice in turning it into a tease, which i didnt had any problems with tbh)

But Gojo and Jogos ones from the latest episode were nearly flawless, literally blew the manga out of the water HARD, i seriously dont know how could have been done better. So, i dont know what are you on here....

Gojo's was hype. But Jogo's was meh.
Plus, I'd say the manga did a far better job at showing Gojo's eyes. The manga art hit harder.

Doesn't mean the anime's version was bad. It was definitely done well. But that episode absolutely did not blow the manga out of the water. The anime adaptation would need to do a lot more for that statement to come true.

Also, welcome.

With CSM, I think I predicted MAPPA would do it (not that I wanted them to do it) but there's definitely better choices.

Also JJK's adaptation has been more impressive to me than its contemporaries like MHA and that's coming from someone who likes Bones' works a lot. I guess the BA (I know different studio) in MHA and the pacing bothers me the most, plus the writing for the series fell off for me personally which doesn't help. I'm probably in the minority on that one.

It's funny because we were getting worried over JJK's anime/production since we only had like a key visual for so long and the adaptation ended up being good. It's a similar situation to JJBA part 5's adaptation where a lot of fans had their doubts and it ended up being the best adaptation thus far. Going back to the JJK anime, one of the strongest aspects of the adaptation for me, is fixing that weird pacing the manga had.

I wish the first chapter was more similar to the one shot.
I think the series will evolve to that one shot, from the attire to the mecha houses. I doubt it's going to be travelling all by boats/ships. I know I'm in the minority here but I prefer the one shot designs over the series MC designs as well.

Also we're probably going to be getting introduced to the villain organization since lets be honest that ship at the end of chapter 1 isnt their master lol

I think you may be very used to Akutamis sketchy style and paneling then (which is great and charming without a doubt), but id say both anime and manga have their own impact, for Gojos eyes the biggest diference in the anime, is how extremely beautiful they made them, it gave some kind of holy feeling to it compared to the more roughness of the manga, and i think both have their own merits, the same with Jogos domain. But overall lets simply agree to disagree, i personally felt this episode and the adaptation so far has elevated the source material to a new level, i felt i was watching an episode from OPM S1, and i believe MAPPA really needs a lot of credit here.

Imo the biggest weakness of MHA adaptation are the backgrounds, they are so dull and lifeless. Also that insane obsession with copypasting the manga panel by panel without taking advantage of the medium.

I got a chance to look at some of these one shots for the GFC and based on the raws I don't get Shonen jump vibes from some of them like Red Hood and popo if that make sense

will Megaton Musashi be in Jump Festa? how many years has it been? they first announce it in 2016 right?
still no manga
still no anime
still no game
still no toys

since Level 5 said the anime will air in Summer 2021, and added a PS5 release days ago, I'm expecting 2021 will be the year we get the rest of the projects

I hope this doesn't stop WSJ from trying a multimedia project like this again, I like the idea
maybe next time try something isn't from the mecha cursed genre

How much involvement does Shueisha have in it? Was there supposed to be a WSJ manga too? Have they ever had a succesful original multimedia project outside V-jump?

Either way Level 5 is in a bad place right now and the game looks more scaled back and cheaper with every trailer released (they are still focusing on a mobile version too) . The big multimedia project worked out for them with Inazuma Eleven and Yokai Watch in the beginning, but they managed to run them into the ground, and have been trying to force these hits into existence ever since then. I'm afraid their attitude is going to bankrupt them if they stay on this course.

Sorry if a little off topic.
