The latest chapter of neverland is an adaptation of Krone’s chapter from the second light novel, I’m extremely disappointed to say the least, glad to see Cecile design though.

Also, loved Chainsaw Man and Black Clover chapters of this week

So Agravity is getting at least 3 more chapters. That confirms it won´t end on its anniversary and it means that it will have at least 50 chapters in total. That makes it a semi-hit in the magazine if we only measure by survival time. It´s my favourite gag series in the magazine from the last few years, so I´m glad it´s had a nice run.

This week´s chapter was great. It paid off a long running joke in a great way. I´m looking forward to how things develop next week.

This was a really good issue. Pretty much all my favorites had good chapters this week, especially Agravity. It's probably still ending soon but I'm glad it's reaching one year next week. Going to be sad to see Chainsaw man go, but it's been a great ride. Neverland side story was enjoyable, as was Sakamoto days.

Does anybody else feels like this trial chapters of Mashle have been extremely similar to Kimetsu's introduction of the hashiras? Their quirky behavior and name drop things already felt similar last week and today we even got
the elder tutor-figure and the cool and quite "hashira" advocating for the protagonist

Both Hardboiled and Magu had Kaiji references this week, wonder if that was a coordinated thing or just a coincidence.

This last chapter of Yozakura gave me a slight impression that he is getting ready to finish.

I'm not saying it will be canceled, but Gondaira may want to follow in the same footsteps as Fujimoto.

Its nearly the exact same. Even the reasons for abolishing the trial was the same
villain groups interest towards the MC

I get why you get those vibes but I disagree, they even state in the chapter that they know that they're not going after the final boss.

Man, that CSM chapter was anticlimactic and absolutely genius at the same time.
I have no idea what will happen in the final chapter but for me, this manga is already one of the greatest of all time behind Punpun, Berserk and Urasawa's work.

Just thought I’d let you guys know, this week’s Build King had several character cameos from Shimabu’s previous series.

I noticed four so far. Toriko, Komatsu, Coco and Takeshi.

Feels like Moriking could be ending the issue after WNL, it's definitely set up now as if it's only got a few chapters left. Agravity Boys however is clearly in no immediate rush. My guess for the next few issues is

CSM ending in #2
WNL ending in #3/4
Moriking ending in #5/6
possibly Blood Oath ending in #7 or #8 if its first volume is out by then
then a batch of 2-3 new series starting #7 or maybe #8 or #9 if they spend a couple extra issues celebrating One Piece hitting 1000 chapters before letting new series take the spotlight.

1. Chainsaw Man: After a couple of chapters that felt too linear, I can't imagine a better way to conclude the series: with a good old WTF moment. With fries, please and thank you.
2. Jujutsu Kaisen: The greatest fight is coming to a close and this chapter was good from beginning to end. Expecially the end, where I can't guess what the villain who just appeared will do.
3. Magu-chan: God of Destruction: Nice chapter for Naputaaku, who was my least favourite character at the beginning and now has grown on me and I hope he'll get a better life because he deserves it.
4. My Hero Academia: Nothing much to say, just badassery all around and sometimes this is all we want from a Jump series.
5. Black Clover: Speaking of badassery, here is Black Clover doing what it does best: preparing the terrain for a series of side characters show-off! Round 1, begin!
6. Hard-boiled Cop and Dolphin: Many funny moments, expecially with Orpheus, from his swiming tricks in the swimming pool to his unexpected skills at mahjong. The final page with the new character keeps me interested and at the same time it worries me because I fear it may begin its wrap-up phase.
7. The Promised Neverland: These side stories are trying to capture the atmoshpere of the first arc of the main series, which is arguably the best one, so they are good by default. Krone's story is very sad.
8. Mashle: I thought the old guy was the great boss of the school and everyone would obey him no matter what? Maybe I should read it again from the beginning because I start to feel I am missing some obvious pieces here.
9. Undead Unluck: So, in the end we didn't get the reveal we expected, so I feel a bit robbed. Apart from that, nice chapter as always.
10. Sakamoto Days: Less funny than the previous two chapters. I am starting to fear an episodic nature, but it's too early to tell.
11. Dr. Stone: Another transitional chapter partially saved by the fact that we get important revelations about that device.
12. Highschool Family: Why is this moving up my ranking? Not because it's a good gag series, but because is the best spokon of 2020 (partially because it's the only one)!
13. Build King: What if the cameos from Toriko gang imply that this is actually "Toriko 2 - the Space arc" with a new planet to explore? Jokes aside, Build King starts to feel a little too much like Toriko, it is missing identity. Let's hope it improves from this point of view.
14. Ayakashi Triangle: We're back to fanservice. Wake me up when it's time for another good arc.
15. Me & Roboco: I think I am not really into cute Roboco chapters, I didn't like this one much. Although the mother is easily the best character in the series, and the existence of a general plot is implied one more time!
16. Mission: Yozakura Family: I was so happy what we got rid of all those uninteresting side characters...and then we got a side character parade. Can we forget tham again for next chapter, please? I'll accept only the grandparents, the Hanafusa duo and the unnoticeable spy.
17. Phantom Seer: This started nice, but then developed into the introduction of a new grandmaster type of character...giving me "more of the same" vibes once again. Maybe we can get a good arc out of this anyway.
18. Moriking: We are getting to the final of this tournament that we all hope will be the last. The author is clearly running out of ideas.
19. Our Blood Oath: This is a chapter of a manga that I read. I don't remember anything else.

This was a great issue to kick off the year - no series had a 'bad' chapters compared to my expectations for each; some were great, most better than usual. Undead Unluck especially continues to blow me away with how it's managed to turn itself around completely in my view ever since the big timeline reveal. Every new chapter feels important, loaded with content, and adds emotional connections to those early chapters that on first glance just seemed wild for the sake of silly entertainment. This and Me & Roboco are the major winners of 2020 for me; Me & Roboco also had a solid chapter again this week, loved the gag with the mum at the end, but it just so happened that a lot of other series had stellar chapters that slightly edged it this time.

Chainsaw Man had my jaw wide open with that last page. I just knew it was coming but boy I can't believe it actually happened! What an anticlimax to this epic battle in the best way. Will be sad to see this go next week but it's ending on a high. My Hero Academia did a good job of highlighting a bunch of characters this week which was entertaining to read but I'm just glad to see the Best Boy is back on the battlefield. One series that blew me away was Agravity Boys - definitely it's best chapter yet. You can tell its slowly beginning to wrap up now that it's giving us a conclusion to one of the longest running gags in the series. Can't wait to see how gay things get next week.

The Promised Neverland reminded me how stellar the early chapters in particular were, I'm always happy to seeing more content to flesh out that time period in the story. Sakamoto Days kept my attention with the third chapter and the introduction of a likeable policewoman character. Also, that character transformation at the end should come in handy for some epic battles in the future and pleasing more fans in a certain way.

Everything else this week was genuinely enjoyable for me: Black Clover is kicking off this new arc invasion in an impactful way; Jujutsu Kaisen was an epic blitz, even if I still don't really understand the battle mechanics of this series after so long... but at least it looks cool!; Mission: Yozakura Family managed to highlight its massive cast in a way that made them feel important and was actually fun to read; Mashle was very reminiscent of Demon Slayer but it's a good formula so I'm not mad; High School Family is going fully Haikyuu!! and I love it; Build King had its best chapter yet with some early Hunter x Hunter vibes with the exam up ahead and some pretty solid worldbuilding to flesh out the continent.

Even series I usually don't like were fun to read this week. On the other hand, Dr. Stone is proving quite laborious to get through on a weekly basis and I'm not 100% sure why. Perhaps I was able to skim over the science elements in my binge and focus on what worked better for me, but being forced to sit with it each week is just not my vibe. Our Blood Oath probably had it's most impactful chapter as well this week (though the bar is low) but its still dead last because everything else just so happened to be better than usual as well, shame.

My ranking of the chapters compared to last week:
  1. (+1) Undead Unluck
  2. (+2) Chainsaw Man
  3. (-2) My Hero Academia
  4. (+13) Agravity Boys
  5. (NEW) The Promised Neverland (Special)
  6. (-3) Sakamoto Days
  7. (-1) Me & Roboco
  8. ( - ) Black Clover
  9. ( - ) Jujutsu Kaisen
  10. (-3) Mashle
  11. ( - ) Phantom Seer
  12. (+1) Mission: Yozakura Family
  13. (-3) High School Family: Kokosei Kazoku
  14. ( - ) Hard-Boiled Cop and Detective
  15. ( - ) Build King
  16. ( - ) We Never Learn
  17. (+3) Ayakashi Triangle
  18. ( - ) Magu-chan: God of Destruction
  19. (+2) Moriking
  20. (-8) Dr. Stone
  21. (-2) Our Blood Oath

Also, I'm pretty much fully up to date with my ratings graph for the WSJ 2020 year. I did plan on including Samurai 8, ZIPMAN, and Guardian of the Witch as well but frankly I don't have much motivation to go back and read them so I'll leave as it. It's a bit chaotic but such is the way with many of the series being pretty unpredictable and changing in rankings each week.

This week's top 5:
1. Magu-chan: God of Destruction - Napu finally learning the true value of his wages was hilarious. Magu-chan betting trast again Napu's wager without even looking at what it was had me in tears. Some nice cosplay shots in this chapter too.
2. Mission: Yozakura Family - Superb chapter! Pairing each family member up with a side character or two was a brilliant usage of the ensemble cast. I am absolutely pumped to see what happens next.
3. Undead Unluck - Tons of awesome spreads this chapter, and it was super interesting to boot. Fuuko has really developed a lot of mental fortitude to continuously endure something so horrifying.
4. Ayakashi Triangle - The art was top-notch this week, and it was super hilarious to boot. I'm a bit surprised by which of Suzu's friends they had be super smart. The ending was hilarious, and Shirogane makes a pretty good straight man.
5. Mashle - I'm pleasantly surprised by how straightforward they're being with this development. I thought they'd somehow try to keep this secret the entire series, but I'm glad the reveal is being integrated into the story like this.

The best of the rest:
6. Sakamoto Days - The chapter itself was pretty good, but those two pages of the fights were pretty rough to look at. Hopefully the author works on their paneling a bit before undertaking another scene like that.
7. High School Family: Kokosei Kazoku - Another pretty funny chapter. The dad has been a pretty funny character, even as the son watches from the sidelines.
8. Me & Roboco - First fat Roboco, and now we get thin Roboco again! The crab dude is never going to catch a break is he? lol
9. We Never Learn - Somehow, it feels like very little actually took place during this arc. It's been alright, but nothing mindblowing.
10. Chainsaw Man - For the penultimate chapter, Fujimoto has left us with quite a bit to digest hasn't he?
11. Moriking - I wish Meo could've gotten more to her fight than one panel. This author should never attempt a manga with action scenes ever again.
12. Agravity Boys - Probably one of the best chapters of the series. Although the ending was strange, there were actually some parts that got some chuckles out of me. Probably one of the least wordy chapters as well.
13. Hard-Boiled Cop and Dolphin - Also one of the better chapters of the series. Chapters like this are much better than that bizarre sea gang/cult stuff that's going to rear its ugly face again in a matter of time.
14. Honomieru Shonen - Pretty bland chapter. Nothing all that much to see here.
15. Build King - Pretty lackluster chapter, although I do appreciate that there weren't any poop jokes or toilet humor.
