what does this exactly mean? 300k circulation?
what does this exactly mean? 300k circulation?
It's a little part of the issue cover, the text isn't related to any serieswhat does this exactly mean? 300k circulation?
If we’re talking WSJ, I think you gotta include Slam Dunk with those three. At this point I think it's fair to say that One Piece , Dragon Ball and Kimetsu no Yaiba are the three biggest manga of all-time.
1. One Piece because it have the world record for number of sales, but also have many more volumes than #2 and #3 and we could argue that #2 and
#3 with the same amount of volumes would have more sales
2. Dragon Ball because of it's impact in the whole world
3. Kimetsu no Yaiba for how big it became in such a small time breaking every yearly record including in other medias (movie) + will most likely break the record for sales per volume.
It's the price, 300 Yenwhat does this exactly mean? 300k circulation?
Which series pre 80s you'd have above Dragon Ball lmao?If we’re talking WSJ, I think you gotta include Slam Dunk with those three.
Plus I think you’re having a little too much recency bias since the oldest series you you here is mid 1980s.
Based on previous conversations on this page that said 300m sales for Dragon Ball was an overestimate then Golgo 13 should have more sales from what I’ve seen.Which series pre 80s you'd have above Dragon Ball lmao?
In what they are better? There are just monsters and blood... okay d.gray man is a bit of dark. But i cant understand japanese love for horror mangasWith the exception of DGM (it's one of my favourite manga ever) I would argue that AoT, TG and JJK are better than Bleach, Reborn and Toriko.

I just can't understand why there is so much love towards series that are all similar in my opinion.Reeks of bait but the japanese folks can like and dislike whatever they want and because of that doesn't mean they "lost their taste".
Yeah, I agree Takahide is giving strong vibes of coming back soon. For an author who only got one axed manga in the magazine, he has lately had a lot of stuff. I can see him with chances of appearing in next batch. This is a list of the Jump channel vomics so far:
- Asobiba (Haruichi Furudate one-shot) 9-10 of October
- Corpse District (Yuto Suzuki one-shot) 16 of October
- Me and Roboko (Miyazaki Shuhei) 2-3 November
- Ousama Kiddo (Haruichi Furudate one-shot) 4-5 of November
- Yozakura Family (Hitsuji Gondaira) 6-7 November
- Blue Box (Koji Miura one-shot) 10-11 November
- Kurakari no Kyuketsuki (Matsura Kento and Togo Goto, one-shot) 12-13 November
- Locker Room (Yuto Suzuki one-shot) 13 November
- Magu-chan (Kamiki Kei) 18-19 November
- Ayakashi Triangle (Yabuki Kentaro) 19-22 November
- Watashi ga Koshien ni tsuretettaru!! (Miyazaki Shuhei one-shot) 27 November
- BUILD KING (Mitsutoshi Shimabukuro) 30 November
- Moju Shirou Kyoudai (Koyoharu Gotoge one-shot) 1-2 December
- SAKAMOTO DAYS (Yuto Suzuki) 6-7 December
- Hajimete no Honeytrap (Totsuno Takahide) 16 December
Note that vomics have been given exclusively to Shonen Jump authors, or authors-to-be. Notably, Suzuki had a one-shot voiced before we knew of SAKAMOTO DAYS. This might indicate that Takahide is going to come back to the magazine, a couple of years after Alice and Taiyo.
The most viewed video (as of time of writing) from the last few months is not any vomic, but a recording of Yabuki drawing Lala (677k views) If we only focus on vomics, it goes like this: Gotoge one-shot (591k) > SAKAMOTO DAYS (478k) > Ayakashi Triangle (306k) [notably, this is the 4th part, the one with Suzu´s ass on the thumbnail. First part only has 182k] > Corpse District (258k) > Yozakura (193k) > Locker Room (188k) > Blue Box (132k).
Two things to note here: one, sex sells, and two, Yuto Suzuki is really popular on Youtube, both with one-shots and SAKAMOTO DAYS. We´ll see if that translates to sales.
260m in 42 volumes > 280m in 197 volumes. We can even argue 260m in 42 volumes being better than One Piece's 470m in 97 volumes. When One Piece had 42 volumes it wasn't even close to Dragon Ball's 260m.Based on previous conversations on this page that said 300m sales for Dragon Ball was an overestimate then Golgo 13 should have more sales from what I’ve seen.
JJK in France:JJK has 200.000 copies sold in France.
I recall some stuff about it saying right now the second most sold manga there only after MHA. Dunno if it was only for Kioon manga or in general.
Jujutsu Kaisen is the best start of a new serie of the year 2020 and the second best from Ki-oon just behind MHA

260m didn't happen the second volume 42 was released. It took decades after that. When One Piece had 42 volumes it wasn't even close to Dragon Ball's 260m.
110m is Japan only tho? Dragon Ball have near 100m outside Japan. I think only Naruto is bigger than that260m didn't happen the second volume 42 was released. It took decades after that.
In 1995 it was at 110m. And One Piece was above that when it first reached volume 42.
Kimetsu is definitely in there if BC/Stone are above it. Handily so.JJK in France:
-Best selling new manga of 2020 (1 month left. 6 volumes+volume 0 have been released since March)
-Second best launch ever for Ki-oon. MHA sold 240k units (6 volumes released between April 2016 and the end of the year)
It was at 160k a couple weeks ago, so I wouldn't be surprised if it ends the year almost on par with 2016 MHA.
It's hard to predict what exactly the effects of the pandemic were for manga sales, but above should be (more or less in that order) :
One Piece / My Hero Academia / Naruto / The Promised Neverland / Fairy Tail / One-Punch Man / Dragon Ball Super / Dragon Ball / Attack on Titan / Black Clover / Dr. Stone.
Depending on how much they sold despite not having new volumes, Tokyo Ghoul (OG series and Re combined) and Berserk should also be above.
If they grew enough from last year, Edens Zero and Fairy Tail 100 Years Quest have also a chance at selling 250k+.
Kingdom might do it too, but it sounds unlikely to me. Shouldn't be that far though.

I think both are Japan only. Not like adding worldwide sales would change much for One Piece in 2006110m is Japan only tho? Dragon Ball have near 100m outside Japan. I think only Naruto is bigger than that
Oops yeah, forgot about Kimetsu. I used 2019's top to check for potential candidates and Kimetsu wasn't there then. I can see it around OG Dragon BallKimetsu is definitely in there if BC/Stone are above it. Handily so.

Look at aug/sep and sep/oct for recent direct comparisons.
SxF seems to have had an amazing debut by the way, noticed while checking.
Yeah, I can see why, SxF's start is pretty incredible looking at it. Also from taking a better look I'm not sure BC will be above JJK and Stone this year, but we'll see. In terms of new volumes both seem to be doing better (even before Jujutsu's anime released), backlog might push it over the edge compared to JJK though but it doesnt seem to have much of that either.I think both are Japan only. Not like adding worldwide sales would change much for One Piece in 2006

Edit: And yeah, SxF is doing amazing. Before the JJK anime, it was the best selling new volume 1 of 2020. It might not be the case anymore, but we won't know until next year (unless one of the publisher clears that up before)
I just based it all on last year's sales + JJK doing 250kYeah, I can see why, SxF's start is pretty incredible looking at it. (This is all approximate numbers that I infered/calculated from the reports. Might be a few mistake? I don't really remember)
