Unfortunately, because the World Arc cup is a gigantic drop in quality since the last arc. It just leaves me not caring at all what happens. I mean come on...Millitaria? That's just stupid. They went from creating interesting characters to just crappy stereotypes. "HEY MAGGOT"

150 chapters of awesome chapters shouldn't make you forget that in the beginning of the Tokyo arc, there was just the same kind of crappy characters you couldn't care about. That's only logical for the beginning of a new arc, and the shameless fan service is enough to make up for that in my opinion, at least until we get back into more serious stuff >.> that's why in my opinion (and I'm definitely not subjective, though overall at least on MH the latest chapters don't seem to have drop in popularity) it should still stay up there in the ToC when the current chapters are rated :nod

The world cup is actually a great idea, though unfortunately it and the Christmas Bowl's pace is messed up compared to the previous arcs. The Christmas Bowl actually had a good pace but the end was too fast. I was hoping that the world cup would have around the same pace as the Kanto tournament.

Nothing. Not a word, sadly. If what is being said in the DGM forum is to be believed Hoshino - sensei is recovering from major surgery.
Apparently, though, there was some information in WSJ a few weeks ago. (Interview?)

Also hope it's back by February/March. Maybe Jump's waiting for the next round of cuts to bring it back?

I wish I could read that interview. Fortunately DGM won't need cuts to bring it back, though they could choose to keep it out until that time. Unlike Hunter x Hunter nothing was added to replace it, nothing will need to be cut for it to return.

The starts of the next two arcs after the Tokyo arc weren't crappy though. I don't see your point.

The kyoto tournament and the christmas bowl were just an extension of the tokyo tournament. With already Seibu, Shinryuuji, Oujou, Taiyou that were bound to be in there, there was no point to use filler teams there. On the other hand, the World Cup arc started everything from the bottom of the tournament, since there was no qualifying process to get there. On top of that, if you look at the actual state of American football in the world, you've got America really far above the rest, but in that rest, Japan is overwhelming and definitely the second strongest nation. Since it is true in real life, there was just no way it wouldn't be the same in the manga. And since a world cup with three teams (America, Japan, Germany -which is the third strongest IRL too-) would have been weird, there was a need for crappy filler teams (just like IRL as well).

And the start of this arc definitely isn't crappy in my opinion, while the opponents are stupid, the chapters themselves are just still as great as ever :oh

But that's not an ES21 discussion thread, so let's drop that >.>;

Don't think it's out yet, or is it? I'm not too sure.

Nice Gintama spread, it looks awesome! <3

Hm, I just can't understand the hype about Toriko -_-;

Saint Oniisan is fun so far and I can see the concept being award worthy. But my (imaginary) vote goes to Chihaya Furu because I would really like to see the mangaka succeed again after the mess with Eden no Hana.

Toriko reminds me of early One Piece; very original, fun to read manga. Toriko, St. Oniisan, or Sangatsu no Lion, I'd be happy with any winning.

i think it's pretty solid that Toriko comes off as a definite boys manga, and more often than not people're turned away by the early chapters, the one shot, or the concept of the food part, but once youre a few chapters in it really grows on ya. its better than two of the big three in my books anyway (no, nothing can really beat one piece)

I will read the first 10 pages and see if it beats the two of the top 3 first 10 chapters. :tem
