The one shot of Beelzebub was the 2008 winner. It hasn't been translated yet.

back to topic, can i ask something? do jump cancel manga based of the ranks or the number of Votes.
i mean if a manga stayed at the last rank for in a row. will it get canceled even if the votes are high???

the votes generally ARE the ranks. namely the 9-14 year old votes. i suppose if a series was massive with a different age group they'd take that into account, as it usually comes across in the book sales (to love-ru is a great example of this)

I think Beelzebub has what it takes, it's similar to Chagecha in which it combines action and comedy in a good way.

I think it's my favorite of all the new editions to JUMP (Beelzebub>Kuroko>Bokke>Hoop Men)

Indeed. Always take these scenarios in account when having a bad ToC position. I agree the lineup is messy and jojoing. One time it's TLR, neuro and sket dance. The other time it's psyren, mago and es21... Let's see if one of the two new series will become a cushion like asklepios and meister or not. If so, please don't make beelzebub one...

mx0 is a different case: its ratings were decent and sellings were good. It was rumoured he stopped it himself. Never say never for a new continuation (though that's prolly a dream. Or did jump make that exception before?)

hmm i always want to know this, why does bleach gets so much cover even though one piece or Naruto are more popular ranking based, they get less cover.
are jump promoting Bleach or something??

i want to know about that too, but i think they are over promoting bleach.i think it's undeserved, because bleach story is really bad right now, yet it's still often getting color pages

For one, I wouldn't call Bleach's 'story' all that bad currently... I'd rather say it's far more enjoyable in volume-batches. Usually it's Kubo's pacing rather than the story that makes people 'hate' Bleach.

Then, while it's true that it's been 'slacking off' lately it's still extremely popular and of the popular series Kubo might just be the only mangaka that actually has at least 3-4 chapters drawn ahead of time making him the perfect 'do me a color-page/cover'-'victim' while other mangakas might struggle a bit to fill out their weekly routine already (remember OP getting a low TOC place because the manuscript was late? Not saying Oda regularly is hard-pressed to meet deadlines, just this works as a nice example).

It doesn't only work with 'who deserves it' but also with 'who can do it on time', that's my opinion on it at least.

Of course Kubo would be able to do color pages more than other mangaka. The guy hardly puts any content in his pages and wastes panels on a consistent basis.

Also yes, the story is that bad and undeserving of the amount of promotion it gets.

On the subject of Beelzebub, I think it has what it takes to at least be a mid-tier series. The initial ranks for it should be interesting.

I haven't read mx0 yet but I am familiar with its rankings from the ToC. I sure do hope that Psyren doesn't end up like it. x[

i mean imagine if the first 30 chapter of bleach is the current last 30 chapter released.
i wouldn't be surprised if it got canceled, cause i think the only reason why bleach is still standing right now is the fanboy of the SS arc. i mean it "was" epic.

well it's still names , well what do you expect from one piece, one chapter of it is extremely colorful and detailed backgrounds, unimaginable characters and unpredictable storyline, while Bleach is just filled with black and white wasteland of nothingness,monotone battle and not much progressing.*running form rabid fanboy*
