Bleach being read by more people than One Piece is just wrong.

Re: Weekly Shounen Jump [2009] - Discussion & TOC Talk v.3

Listing current Weekly Jump stuff we're reading again?
Since it's actually continuing more than a few post I guess I'll post mine...

Ok, here's mine in no particular order.
One Piece
Naruto
Bleach
Toriko <-- Translating
Bakuman <-- Did some translating
Gintama <-- Translation checking
Beelzebub
Kuroko no Basket [Only when it actually gets scanlated, which hasn't been for a while now. There's no way I'm gonna translate it...]
Inumaru Dashi <--Translating [but no one's Editing it so it's pretty low priority]
Psyren
Nurarihyon no Mago [Read the beginning chapters, plan to read the rest eventually...]

And that's it... For what's current and only in Jump, though people for whatever reason are listing other stuff.

By the way, Xadyu, you forgot to put One Piece on your tally there.

Re: Weekly Shounen Jump [2009] - Discussion & TOC Talk v.3

I read the following right now

One Piece
Toriko
Bakuman
Medaka Box
Reborn!
Naruto (out of habit)
Beelzebub
Psyren

Tried to read Bleach but there is nothing to the series. If a new series had pacing issues like this one I doubt it would even make it to the first serialization/cancellation meeting before it got cut.

When the final chapters of Akaboshi are out I plan to read the whole thing in one sitting. People made it sound like it was doomed from the start so I've been patiently waiting to read it

Re: Weekly Shounen Jump [2009] - Discussion & TOC Talk v.3

Misc. fact from the TOC's "Tell us Jump GUY!!":

Q: Why do the colour of the surveys change?
A: When the postcards are collected, so as not to confuse postcards from different issues, the colours are changed.

Haven't seen a TOC and preview page in ages, thanks Heiji!!

Re: Weekly Shounen Jump [2009] - Discussion & TOC Talk v.3

The series with color pages generally gets to hang out with the big 3. That's why Gintama is there too. Had another series been getting color this week it would have been in the preview instead.

Chapter 1 of Rilienthal has been released and to be honest, I understand why it debuted in the bottom 5 (sorry [Cross]). The elements for a good series are in place, chapter 2 could be a huge improvement, but chapter 1 was a little to silly.

[Drmke]

Re: Weekly Shounen Jump [2009] - Discussion & TOC Talk v.3

I doubt Rilienthal will get much better. Seems like it just wants to be a silly series with jokes that can be humurous at times but after a while become annoying. It will probably get cut next tiem around unless it improves somehow.
