how does hiro draw so many pages? do his assistants all the work? I mean there are mangakas who barely made the deadline each week, but this seems to be insane.

i read fairy tail and see the point that he doesn't write a well though of story with many deus ex machina moments, but that doesn't change my point.

1. Mashima is one of the fastest if not the fastet guy in the business many mangaka has complimented him for his fast drawing speed and still keep his "famous" high quality artwork.
2.It is not the first time he has done this draw multi chapter in one week and after that continue his normal schedule without any breaks.

1. I guess he gives a good reason to deserve this title ^^
2. He did many times 3 chapters for 1 week, but 3 chapters for 2 weeks and additional, exclusive content? he probably has already finished drawing fairy tail and keeps his time with a successor xD

This is the first new Magazine series to sell 100k+ since the Oricon charts started (not counting the continuations of GTO and Kindaichi).

Mashima is always posting COLORED pics on twitter so.. yeah he must be fast to be drawing fan-art.. Well.. Managaka-art of its own manga..

But (and not to take merit from Hiro Mashima) some old mangakas used to have like 2 weekly serializations, I remember one mangaka once had like 6 weekly serials in the 60s or 70s.

I've heard rumors that Fairy Tail might be ending soon as well. Perhaps Shonen Magazine is trying to create a brand new lineup of battle shonen to help boost their popularity a lot.

Really? Where did you hear that? Though with the way things have been wrapping up this year It's not entirely unbelievable.

wouldn't ending fairy tail be bad for a strong battle shounen lineup? I'm mean its the kind of story that could go on for ages with its ridiculous power balance and all the possible dragons...

The lineup is not really strong battle manga. From their historical titles, most of them are sport manga. And now that Nanatsu is super successful, Fairy Tail can end with not to much worries.
