Tatsuya Endo's note helped nothing for Kanojo, seems like another flop newbie WYJ round. Douji Gunkan, which showed some early potential, is likely going to be down from Vol 2. Just a mess.

It isn't listed sadly.
At this point, Shueisha can just randomly pick 1 or 2 to end lol. They have a lot of underperforming series. I really hope Kawaiisounine Genki-kun doesn't collapse, or the streak since 2016 will go on (I don't count the Kaguya spinoff).

Ouch, that's a rough start. In fact, aren't these the lowest Day 1 sales we've had in a while for newbies here? If the daily rankings drop at the same rate as they have for the other 2019 new series, these 2 are total goners, especially Shikabana since comedy series sometimes get a bit more leniency. I was really hoping Kanojo could've piggy-backed off that Spy x Family hype train.

So on the chopping block, it appears to be Tiempo, Douji, Momo, and Libidors? Those are the slightly older new series that aren't doing too hot, plus there's basically every other new series since those ones, with the possible exception of Kawaisounine if it can either maintain or increase its previous volumes' sales. 2019 has definitely been a rough year for WYJ.

Is that Twitter account for Shadow's House new? If so, is the author of it famous or something? I can't seem to figure out why this one's been able to scrap by and seem to continuously survive although it's not selling well.

I wouldn't be surprised to see SHouse in danger. But..there is simply too many holes even with WYJ's fast axe pace. Even Libidors that Shueisha pushed recently despite atrocious sales is still selling atrocious (I mean, the concept is extremely niche and was always going to put a lot of people off, let's be real here)!

Snack Basue is the one that I will never understand how and why it is going on.

Wow, you have never heard of SHouse author's previous work? He did Kuro, which was a cult hit and got a dedicated fanbase.
Hell, I believe most people who follow SHouse due to its similarities to kuro.
And it can move to WYJ web service anytime if they want more space for newbies, as most people would like to read SHouse in color format.

Not sure if better. Volume 4 of Basue which was out this April managed to stay just 4 days on Shoseki. Did not even rank in the weekly sales list!!

In that case, I'd say "roughly the same as" or "similar to" would be more accurate comparisons to most of the newbies. After taking that into consideration, I'd say the combination of the author's veteran status and it being a 5-ish page gag comedy are probably large reasons it survives over the others. If they ax Snack Basue, they'd either replace it with another short gag comedy, or they just wouldn't replace it with anything and just save money on the 5-6 pages being printed in the magazine each week. To me, it's harmless being there, so I don't mind if they keep it around until they can find another gag comedy to replace it.

I wish B Gata H Kei's author would return with another comedy. That's actually the first manga series I read from start to finish after watching the anime adaptation years ago.

Nope, never heard of it. I only started reading Shadows' House on a whim one day since I was curious about the world it was building. In that case, I suppose it makes sense why it sticks around. Plus, I forgot that its chapters are published online in full-color, so maybe either more people view it there or just purchase it digitally?

First time I heard about it (or the cult hit status). I always thought House was better suited for Tonari no YJ.

I guess you guys weren't kidding about that cult-like following the author has with his various series. This person, and maybe a few others like him, are probably enough to keep this series running for a long time in WYJ lol. Interesting that Momo and Maku Musubi are both still getting color pages. I'm glad that WYJ is trying to make both of them work since they both seem pretty interesting to me.

What the heck?! Pochi Gokko ending (so soon) was totally unexpected. Out of all the series I was just rambling about could potentially be the next to end, it turned out to be the one that hadn't even had its first volume released. Either the initial reception was so terrible that it was immediately cancelled, or something happened with the author and/or their relationship with WYJ.
