Not really. They all get the second color page within 8 chapters (not on 5th chapter). It is just some series get the second color page at early stage. After that, the series usually don't get the color page until it releases its volumes.

Well, it is confirmed that Kimi wa Midara no Boku no Joou will be serializing irregularly in Young Jump (I'm not sure about the mermaid one). And on the preview page, it said that those author going to release complete new works, so I think it'll be totally new series.

And it only mentioned Tiger & Bunny, Maou-sama Chotto Sore Totte!!, and Rachael Dial as returning series, and nothing about those two.
Okay, checked the ad in Seed and turns out it says "new series" in really small letters. Probably should have done that first so I didn't make a complete idiot out of myself.

I'm still not sure about Mermaid though, since the last chapter in Super Dash & Go said "To Be Continued" and there's only been a side chapter in Miracle Jump since then, which didn't say anything about the future of the series. Apparently there isn't anything saying it'll continue now, but it hasn't been confirmed to end either, and there's still no news on the volume release.

Here's the current line-up of upcoming new series for renewed Miracle Jump:

- Fukushima Teppei (author of Samurai Usagi from Weekly Shounen Jump)
and so Jump's best kept secret surfaces again! I am beyond excited about this one, gonna have to check out miracle jump now.

Not sure why they aren't included with the other returning series, but both Kimi wa Midara na Boku no Joou and Mermaid no Hanakago were previously confirmed for serializations in the new Miracle Jump. Haven't got a scan of the page on me, but it was in my copy of Young Jump Seed. Maybe it means Mengo and Enaga will be doing more than one series? Enaga's oneshots are really good, so I hope there's more of those.
Well, according to Japanese wikipedia (Not exactly the best source for info I know but...) Ningyotachi no Hanakago is on 'hiatus'. In fact most of Takabata's works are suspended on hiatus...(save for Zelbesty) not finished but not currently running either. So I guess this is just one more for the pile?

(I read Ningyotachi and it is a really wonderfully drawn work. I hope it gets un hiatus-ed soon enough.)

Amen to that. I wonder what kind of series it'll be? Either way it'll be charming, what with Fukushima's art style.

I have yet to read it despite having gotten all the raws for a friend who wants to translate it, but the art is amazing. I did read Takabata's Seed oneshot, Godspeed 0.1, and I just loved it. It's kind of like Dungeon ni Deai etc. but with less action and more feels, plus better art. If only Super Dash & Go had furi, I'd have already bought the Latin and HandRed oneshot collections, but oh well.

I just spent the last half hour reading Zelbesty and man lack of furigana hurts so hard. I'd so translate it if it wouldn't take me a really long time to get through some of the wordier parts. (Though I do understand like nearly 90 percent of the series. Sad that the last update was almost a year ago.) I'd like to read more of Takabata's works honestly. I've only read the one chapter of Ningyo on Tonari's webpage and all of Zelbesty on Her(?) personal page. I might just purchase Latin and HandRed if I can get my hands on and like more of her (?) work.

I didn't even know Enaga did anything other than the SD&G stuff, interesting. I remember seeing a release of the Latin oneshot, but that was from the Chinese volume release, so I'm not that interested in reading it because of retranslations. It had a ton of text though, which makes sense because the magazine was originally meant for light novel tie-ins. May actually buy it anyway because Kinokuniya just dropped the price limit for free shipping from $100 to $50 and I've got some other stuff waiting to be ordered...

I do hope she's able to keep up the Miracle Jump series without putting it on hiatus, because an ongoing monthly is probably a lot more work than oneshots in a bimonthly magazine.

Yeah. If you're interested Zelbesty is here. Very good sense of background and character design. I'm really trying to only keep to one Seinen-ish (or manga without furigana) series at once (and right now that's Nejimaki) so I don't know if I'd ever get around to it, but I am interested in perhaps doing a exploratory translation just to gauge interest....at some point. I really enjoyed what's up of the series on the page, and Takabata's artwork in general. Cute and intense is the best way to describe it I think.

To stay on topic though, where did vinceled get those color pages and TOC? I badly want to read this week's Nejimaki.

I bet he got those from his own source, like other translators.

I wonder what new info we'll get for TK Ghoul next week? Maybe VA's? An airdate?

I bet it'll most likely about the voice actors. OR perhaps the key visuals for the anime.

Ah. Yeah. I feel like it'll probably be a visual and maybe an airdate. VA's usually come with like music and stuff, and all of that usually comes up closer to when the anime is supposed to air.

Is it? I thought the voice actors usually announce at the early stage, like before music and stuff.
Can the order change I wonder? I always thought they announce those later, but maybe there are cases where they do it sooner? I'm just interested in knowing who will do the music and the voices since they're really quite important for any anime.

I'm not sure. I think the voice actors are more important than the music for the anime. I believe people going to attract more on the anime for the sake of voice actors than the musice. So, I think the VAs going to announce at early stage.

Plus, when I looked at the other recent examples, like Nisekoi and Haikyuu!!, I believe the voice actors are announced at the early stage as compared to the music.

It would be odd to announce music this early for it. They havent said if its a summer or fall anime, only three staff members are known, and theres still no key visual. They could provide a site link for the series and give a date for when a teaser pv could go up and a anime visual for the magazine?

Nejimaki Kagyu volume 13 is due out this month...and I just noticed that on Amazon Japan, Volume 14 is coming out in April. While I know Nejimaki has done this sorta thing before, it makes me think that maybe the end is coming soon. Then again maybe it's another push for popularity.

I'm not sure; I don't think think Nejimaki going to end. When I read the current arc(?), I kind of getting the feel that it'll not going to end after this arc.

If it does end, then I feel like this going to be a bad ending.

What makes you say that? And bad as in....'Tragic'? or bad as in 'This ending sucks for me the reader'?

The current arc makes me feel like it has a bit more life in it yet. Maybe not years but at least two or three more volumes.

Well, it is kind of both. Like even it ended like this, I don't think this actually going to show that Kamo has actually beaten the Chairman; it is more like the Chairman who has beaten Kamo. So, if it does end with the current arc, then I feel like it is just 'bad' ending for the series.

For me, I think this series going to continue (but, I'm not going to say how long it'll continue).

Sorry, I misread your earlier comment. I thought you said that you thought it would end soon. I see now that you were saying you don't think it will end soon, so you're agreeing with me. Yeah...I don't think it'll end soon either....I also don't believe that it has a whole lot of time to go though since most of the major plot points have been addressed other than Kagyuu's mom who's been mentioned a few times. Funny that she hasn't appeared at all...but yeah I think it still has somewhere between a year or less to go.
