Kind of both, I guess? It's definitely nothing like anything I'd ever thought of an ending for the series, so it gets points for surprising me, but... what with all the planning that goes into each game, and the hiatuses the author had to take to plan out each one, you'd think it could have gotten a better ending than one chapter that does what that one did. As a whole, I still love the series though.

I haven't read the last chapter yet, but when reading the series I had always expected a "take down the Liar Game Association" arc or something. Or they somehow came up with some plan that bankrupted them. Anyhow, whatever thing Kaitani did for the ending will probably be ok. I wonder if he'll ever go back to Reinouryokusha Odagiyi Kyouko no Uso. I've still gotta read most of that.

Yeah, I just read the last chapter but to be honest, after reading the end I now have the same feeling I had when I read Tokyo Ghoul - I want moar especially after that cliffhanger the author leaves us with... Other than that as a whole the series is pretty good, that last chapter leaves much to think about - trust, power etc Quite the moralistic series in fact.
