Interesting to see an SQ series being promoted in YJ, though not the first time this kind of thing has been done (TG and Terra Formars had a special chapter in WSJ to promote their anime)

WYJ and SQ have done cross promotions before. Taisho Otome Otogibanashi and BBB had chapters in WYJ, Shiratama-kun, Umaru, and Monster Girl were in SQ, etc.

First volumes of Fushigi and Snack Basue released 2/19. According to what I could find on Shoseki, Fushigi premiered at #320 on 2/19 and then dropped off the top 500 chart the next day... not the best start there. Snack Basue premiered at #119 on 2/19, #148 on 2/20, and #199 for 2/21. Although that's not amazing, that's still good enough for a 5 or 6 page gag manga, especially when I can think of 3 full-length series off the top of my head that are selling less than that already (Bathroom, Rin, and Fushigi).

So the new monthly series is about a magical girl who is actually a boy? Guess I'll have to wait to see the first chapter to see how this works out. Out of this serialization round, I's still enjoying the sequel to Kunoichi as much as the original. I was hoping that Yuryo Shoujo would've been a delinquent girl version of Working!!!, so I'm a bit bummed out by that. It looks like most the humor is verbal, which doesn't do me much good. I'm not entirely sure what's even happening in Yoake. Each chapter seems pretty random

After looking at this, I'd really like to know more about the premise. I definitely wasn't expecting anything like that lol.

After seeing the raws for the 4 new cute-girls-doing-cute-things series, I;m a bit underwhelmed as a whole. The ranking is Kunoichi the 2nd >>> Yuryo > Bokura > Yoake. Yuryo can't really do much untranslated since the whole series seems to take place at that diner table, and I highly doubt it'll get translated.
