I'm really curious about how well Kaguya is selling digitally.
Its Digital seems to have been outselling Kingdom physically on Amazon every time I've checked.
And it seems to be outselling Attack on Titan's digital on Amazon just 10 days after the AoT volume came out.

I was fairly surprised as well. I don't follow the series, but I was expecting it to last longer than Fushigi, Bahroom and Tamata. Rin to Cheer had a pretty generous run considering how poorly it sold, basically Kaori Warning level of sales.

I'm sure it wasn't meant to be a miniseries. The story didn't seem like it either. Been following it. I just got canned. Wouldn't surprise me if it was decided before Volume 1 even got released.

Kinda surprising something like Blue Phobia got cancelled so soon when helvetica lasted close to a year with considerably worse rankings and sales.

With this, Golden Kamuy is following exactly in Kingdom's footsteps. Even better as Kamuy also has the Manga Taisho under its belt. I wouldn't be surprised if it gets to 400k after the anime, which is around double what it currently does and if it continues to grow, it can also possibly reach TG and Kingdom's sales.

Weeeell deserved. Would’ve choked if TPN won over stuff like GK or Beastars. Hopefully this award and the anime is enough to boost its sales massively. If there’s any series that deserves to sell 500k+ per volume its this.

From a quick check of the 2 most recent volumes, volume 14 sold 19,708 in 24 days and volume 15 sold 17,974 in 21 days before falling off the charts. Th actual sales numbers are most likely a bit higher since these sites don't get data from every single bookstore, and they also don't count digital sales. Hope that helps!

Oh wow, Tokyo Ghoul series actually beat Attack on Titan and Kingdom last year, placing no.2. I expected it to at least beat Kingdom with the old volume sales, but didn't think it would beat AoT like that. TG and AoT more or less tied with the sales in Yen for 2017, so I expected something like this, but for it to actually beat it is kinda wild imo. (edit: We didn't know TG's old volume sales before because Oricon separates TG part 1 and Part 2, so the old volumes has their own numbers.)

TG's sales in yen should be higher because the volumes cost slightly more than shonen titles.
