Black Night Parade was one of WYJ's most pointless serializations due to it's nature (and unlike REAL, sales arent there).

Good to see it go somewhere where it can serialize nicely.

Any summary of the new series?

The one starting in Tonari? The oneshot was basically about a girl who inherits 5 quadrillion yen from her grand-father. Her brother then asks her if there is anything she wants and she says various things: live in a skyscraper - which the brother would be like living in a pig pen seeing how much money she has. They then use an app that gives out points depending on how grand what you want to buy is. Example: buying Aoyama, acting as a child and making your house an amusement park and giving out one hundred million on New Years eve nets her 10 points. The exchange continues until the girl decides to buy a piece of space. the brother then tells her something he forgot to tell her: she's gotta spend the 5 quadrillion yen within a year or she'll be arrested since her grandfather made all this money by being part of the underworld. the story will be about her spending all this considering her largest dream was living in a nice house.
I was pleasantly surprised to see how fun the whole thing was.

Still confused at Diner leaving the magazine. 10k is still a passable result, especially in the state of where Young Jump is. Not to mention it had to release along with the WSJ volumes!

Also the first chapter of Maku Musubi has 20k rts and 57k likes.

Dang, out of all of the new series that have started this year, this one sounds more interesting to me than all of them, and of course it doesn't end up in the magazine. With all of the more serious, heavy series they've been trying to incorporate into the magazine, it would've been a breath of fresh air to see something quirky like this pop up.

I felt the same way when I saw the notice of it leaving. If my memory serves me correctly, its move online doesn't appear to have had too much of a negative impact on Diner's sales, if any.

Although Kawaisounine isn't my thing, it'll be interesting to see if this helps its first volume achieve some level of decent sales. Did this series end up getting more twisted than the first chapter was? As for Maku Musubi, I'm really curious to see if this will translate into decent sales for it given what I can tell its plot is.

This recent trend of posting bits of or the entirety of the first chapter of their series on Twitter seems like a pretty brilliant move. I've seen a lot of series really seem to blow up like this on Twitter

same here for me the oneshot was easily one of the best I've seen since I subscribed at the beginning of the year.

Speaking of series in the mag, I feel like Momo the Blood Taker is not going to last, it's been hogging the bottom 3 for a while now.
