Speaking of series in the mag, I feel like Momo the Blood Taker is not going to last, it's been hogging the bottom 3 for a while now.
Momo and Tiempo seem to be in the biggest danger currently so far.

same here for me the oneshot was easily one of the best I've seen since I subscribed at the beginning of the year.

Speaking of series in the mag, I feel like Momo the Blood Taker is not going to last, it's been hogging the bottom 3 for a while now.
I remember seeing that Momo got a reprint for its first volume, but maybe they didn't print that much for it in the first place. I felt the first handful of chapters were pretty good, but the last few chapters translated into English felt a bit disconnected from each other. The plot for each chapter suddenly seemed to vaguely introduce something new to the story with a barrage of new characters, but don't really build upon them

I liked the first few chapters enough to buy volume 1 but yeah I don't know how to feel about the latest chapters...

I’m sure it’ll drop a lot over the next few days but that’s a healthy start for Genki

Genki seems to be holding up solidly, Day 2 was a #82 rank.
Sadly, Maku Musubi not as much, lost 40 places to #153. Honestly, Maku Musubi does give me some shoujo/josei-ish vibes, so I am not surprised sales didn't go well. I think Jump+ was actually the best place for this one.

Colour me pleasantly surprised!
And Maku Musubi has gotta sting, they’ve put a good deal of promo into that

Is that like the first serialization coming from YJ Gold? Or there was others before? https://youngjump.jp/yjgold/ "Shape shifter's sweetheart"

I haven't really paid much attention to YJ the last couple of years, because practically nothing that interests me has started. The last one was Urataro... but that one also become bad after the time skip.

Shoseki Ranking, July 15-21

#165
- Rikudou v23 [end] - 6,095 / 6,095
#181
- Kawaisou ni ne, Genki-kun v1 - 5,503 / 5,503
#300
- Batuque v4 - 3,550 / 3,550
#384
- Maku Musubi v1 - 2,962 / 2,962

Tonari no Young Jump (7/04)
#490
- Diner v7 - 2,535 / 12,762

So Kawaisou ni ne, Genki-kun did very well. Not really a hit, but i am optimistic about it's chances to survive. I think YJ will stick with it at least for a while. That being said you never know. While it did good, it really didn't sell too much more than all the other series debuted in the last two years and none of those series did make it.

Maka Musubi didn't do that bad, but didn't do well either. It will probably sell around 5-6k which isn't noteworthy at all. I don't think it will make it, but maybe they will move it to someplace else instead of canceling it.

Batuque did have another drop, even though it wasn't as big as the drop 3rd volume had. Sales numbers for Batuque:

v01 - 2019/01 - | 6,264 (03) | 11,572 (10) | 14,012 (17) |
v02 - 2019/01 - | 5,151 (03) | 10,068 (10) | 12,343 (17) |
v03 - 2019/04 - | 4,126 (03) | *7,713 (10) | ------------ |
v04 - 2019/07 - | 3,550 (03) |

Diner had some boost from movie, even though it's nothing to write home about. It was probably it's last chance to breakout and it didn't happen. Considering how new series doing in the jump, keeping it in the magazine wouldn't be a bad idea, but moving to the tonari no young jump wasn't a bad move either. It simply doesn't matter. New series' performance doesn't change the fact that a 10k seller is insignificant for a magazine as big as young jump. It would be a different matter if it did have potential to become bigger, but that isn't the case for Diner. Sales numbers:

v01 - 2018/01 - | 6,100 (03) | 11,753 (10) | 14,697 (17) | 16,658 (24) |
v02 - 2018/01 - | 5,260 (03) | 10,233 (10) | 13,079 (17) | ------------ |
v03 - 2018/04 - | 6,635 (04) | 10,426 (11) | ------------ | ------------ |
v04 - 2018/08 - | 4,850 (03) | *9,396 (10) | ------------ | ------------ |
v05 - 2018/12 - | 7,270 (05) | 10,091 (12) | ------------ | ------------ |

Damn, Batuque is getting rejected here. I won't be surprised to see it axed soon.
Solid start for Genki-Kun (I mean, 5k 3 days is far from anything good, but Young Jump will settle for it's recent standards).

Dang, I was hoping the Tweet going viral would've had a larger impact on Maku Musubi's overall sales. It seems like yet another series that doesn't seem like it's going to take off. Kawaisounine and Douji Gunkan may have a chance, but then again, I though Momo was going acceptably since it got a reprint for its first volume, but it doesn't seem to be doing too hot anymore.
