Question What does Drake have planned for Kaido?

It seems all the supernovas have been plotting against the yonkou ever since we got into the new world.

We have already seen Bege and Law, Bonney is on the run, Kidd is locked up, Apoo is with Kaido, Hawkings and Killer undetermined right now.

But who I'm most caring about right now is Drake, he seems to be the strongest Supernova. So I wonder what he has planned for the King if Beasts.

Perhaps it's the same type of rookie subordination as Ace and Whitebeard. But i'm pretty sure X drake considers himself to be someone with certain aspirations and values for the neo navy. Kaidoh doesn't seem like a good person. So he might be planning against kaidoh aswell.

Why though? Personally I'd consider him to be one of the weakest, probably.. but hey for all we know he could very well be a Calamity as well.

Either way, ever since it was revealed that he used to belong to the Marines, I was under the impression that he was just playing double agent, so if he ends up betraying X or Y that won't exactly surprise me.

I never got the impression drake was one of the strongest supernova. If anything the manga was rather overt about kidd and law being the stronger ones along with good old luffy. Next to them kidddrake would be sort of a secondary supernova, sort of like hawkings and bege. Which is not to say drake is weak, he is simply not the most relevant one.

As for drake doing anything against kaido... It would make sense if he betrays kaido somewhere along the line of the arc leading to his defeat. He would be a substantial force to add to the force that is slowly building up against him. Though I am not sure if he really has that much of a plan. Rather I see him taking the chance when he gets it and will join with luffy. And law, kidd, hawkins, apoo...

Besides, he has an ancient/rare/mythological(?) Zoan, he's like a frickin' T-Rex, so him being a Calamity isn't too far-fetched.

I fail to see how this is off topic. The title of this thread is "What does Drake have planned for Kaido".

Him earning his trust and obtaining an important position in his chain of command - like becoming a Calamity, as I said - could very well be tied to his ultimate, personal goals, and what he might have or not planned for Kaido, just like how Bege rose up in the ranks just so he could have a better shot at assassinating Big Mom.

Him earning his trust and obtaining an important position in his chain of command - like becoming a Calamity, as I said - could very well be tied to his ultimate, personal goals, and what he might have or not planned for Kaido, just like how Bege rose up in the ranks just so he could have a better shot at assassinating Big Mom.

Being a Calamity is too far fetched. Pre-time skip Drake couldn't even react to Kizaru. Like all other Supenova's. So lets say that Drake had the same strength as Luffy, Kid and Law before pre-time skip. But we all know that Luffy, Kid and Law were shown together not Drake.

Luffy trained with Rayleigh while Drake went under the protection of Kaido. So Luffy should have the most improvement compared to Drake. Now we know how much Luffy struggled to beat a sweet commander with the help of Nami. So if Drake is a calamity then you are saying that Drake is stronger than Luffy.

Another Supernova who went under the protection of a Yonko is Bege. Did he become a commander? So why should Drake suddenly become one?

Drake can only be in the position below a calamity.

I think Drake will end up helping Luffy & co in the wano arc.
It has been foreshadowed already as after the fall of DD when the news spread around the world , drake was somewhat grateful.

He cannot be a calamity. He is too weak for that.

Hes a rare type of Zoan, similar to Jack. Hes a supernova, a former rear admiral which is ranked higher than captain or commodore, just below Vice Admiral....
I mentioned those ranks as pre-timeskip, he was at a higher rank than Smoker, who's a vice-admiral now. I bet he'd be atleast a vice-admiral if he was still a marine and thats pretty strong.... He beat Caribou, a logia user easily so we know he can use Haki...So the part of him being too weak is a bit misplaced.

However, i dont think he is a calamity, but not for reasons related to strength. He's a recent addition to the Kaido group, it would be unfair for him to be put to a high rank like that... Ace had spent similar time but that was also because WB wanted Ace to become the next pirate king. WIth Drake, hes got a past which is dicey, so he is still a high ranked officer but not the calamities...

I mentioned this before, but Drake is 100% the same kid who got picked up and saved by Tsuru. That was the radio announcement that Mingo thought was Law and he left the island.. For X Drake trained under Tsuru, and now has a secret agenda for which he's got under Kaido. Drake could just be a spy just like Rocinante was.
