I chose Haruhi from Ouran High School Host Club because she is one of my favorite manga/anime girls and because I think she is a great shojo heroine.

I had just added my Cinnamon avy, I couldn't change it. Konan was to epic this week not to pay tribute to. koen and xi0 still have their avy's up, the trend isn't completely dead.

I'm having a hard time chosing one each time. Actually Naruto is the only reason I'm here. I like japanese culture in general, but I'm not really friends with manga/anime style so the only ones I liked was Hellsing (original anime that wasn't based on the manga - it had great style and atmosphere) and Naruto for the deep characters involved. So naturally I'm using shots from Naruto.
When watching it I always have photoshop opened to archive the great shots and so an archive of avatars was created over time:

Currently I'm using Shi/C/whatever his name is. I like the specific shot and his optical style, plus he's a smart character so I like having him next to forum posts
On a german esports forum I often visit (actually it's rather known for having the best off topic area besides 4chan :>) I also use a Naruto avatar:

This one because it simply looks cool and doesn't bother too much with usual manga style.

Some other of my current favorites I use from time to time (and that's only my top favorites). My problem is that I see epic shots everywhere so I'm unable to decide
