Never been there but I'm going there in December to meet up with some South African friends before continuing down Africa.

Anything special i should look at except the pyramids and the sand? :-D

Well, it doesn't seem like you'll have the time, but the Sinai is full of great resorts. As far as historical stuff goes, Giza has the Great Pyramids and the Sphinx. Luxor has some cool temples, the Aswan damn is pretty nice too. There are a bunch of temples and over 100 pyramids to see, but I doubt you have the time.

One thing I suggest you do is visit Alexandria, and more specifically, the Library of Alexandria. It's an architectural marvel. I'm from Cairo, but Alexandria really is much nicer. Not as much pollution/smog, cleaner, and it's built along the Mediterranean.

I know you probably won't have time for all that, but Alexandria and Giza should be good enough.

I don't understand the phrase where do you come from?Because I'm born in the country I live witch is Belgium but my parents are Portugees soo I think the logic is too say that I'm from portugal right??also could you make a sort of poll soo you can see where you everyones from(just a suggestion)........

I was born in California, and just recently moved here to Colorado. It's very nice in this state and in the country, but I can't wait to wander off to other countries when I'm older...

Please post where you're from over there so you can be added to the list and then we can all discuss it over in this thread, since this is only the discussion thread. Generally, you post where you're currently living and can also post where you originate from if you'd like. This way we can get a clearer picture of your background. ^^

Well Gantz I am from Hungary and my roots are in Hungary since that's my nationality but I live in Sweden, that's why I keep the Hungarian flag even though I'm abroad in Sweden for the present.
So in my opinion, where I come from is not the same thing as what country do you belong to (in your birth mark.)

Oh and I'll have about a week in Egypt, Fortis and Alexandria sounds pretty awesome since it's culture, history and stuff. Will be cool. Also I'll try to check out the Giza pyramid. Maybe Aswan if the time allows.
