Hey guys!

First of all, it's great to hear about where everyone is from, so thank you for all your great posts! Keep the info coming!

Second, as you may have noticed, I've merged the 'About your country' thread with our 'Where do you come from?' discussion thread, since they are essentially about the same thing. So definitely, feel free to post here if you just want to talk about where you're from, what it's like to live there, average rainfall, GDP, or how many Starbucks are located within a 12 mile radius of your house...anything like that No need to wait for someone to ask you a question ^^ Have fun!

Starbucks located within 12 miles of my house? Absolutely zilch. There isn't even one in Western Australia. xD Shows how cut off from the rest of the world we are. But I think there are some in Sydney, so go over there if you want to drink Starbucks coffee. xD

A good friend of mine is living in Perth too, Katanning. But she lives in the countryside; miles from the town so she hardly gets on the net.

But I love Australia! I'm planning to go on a road trip there from Perth to perhaps Adelaide after I graduate. But looking at super long journey on the road, I hope I dun get motion sickness.

Country person!!!! Katanning's only a decent way from Perth, probably about a 10 hour drive down. It's not that far compared to other places, like Exmouth, way to the north of Western Australia, and is about a two days drive to get there. But its all good.

Hmm, so any good spots I should visit while I'm there? I'm a nature person so I guess the road trip would be fun. Well, you're talking to someone who's experience on road is limited to at most 2 hours from one end of my country to another. but I've travelled long distances on a coach or train before but never in a car.

Hi, I'm from Belgium.
A country that may be close to it's end if you believe the international press (slightly exagerated, but who knows...). This due to continuous conflicts between the Dutch and French-speaking comunities.
I live in the Dutch-speaking half, called Flanders.
