That mr.1's fruit could be pretty useful. Not only in combat but also in everyday use. I can imagine myself chopping some tomatoes with my fingers. I wouldn't also need hammers, saws, drills or shredders. But the most important i don't need a pizza slicers.
It also gives you an invulnerability but that is not so important. I think it is one of the most practical fruits in one piece.

I would either want:

1. Vacuum/anti-matter fruit - you can eliminate all matter in a certain vicinity (think of a vacuum), thereby suffocating someone or shoot out antimatter which would immediately obliviate whatever it hits into nothingness. Also, the vacuum aspect could be like a blackhole that sucks in everything

2. Wind fruit - wind could essentailly blow away anything. If you use enough wind, you can create heat (friction from molecules colliding at super speeds) to melt ice and conversely, you can blow away fire. Also, wind at high enough velocities can rip someone apart.

this is a great one but i'd use it to fly.

The door door friut is good too. you can go anywhere w/o needing a vehicle.

How about a tree fruit?

Name: Ent Ent no mi (After the creature by J.R.R. Toliken)
Type: Logia, I suppose
Powers: Regeneration in sunlight, Wooden Armour, the user don't have to eat, just dig the feet in the ground and absorb the minerals you'd need!
Weaknesses: Fire, Axes, Cloudy skies, And much, much more...

Maybe it's not that effective in battle, but I'd love the sunlight even more with that fruit...!

Zoan-Type: some bird fruit ... wouldn't it be great if you can fly?

Paramecia-Type: Gomu-Gomu or Hana-Hana ... both are useful ones!

Logia-Type: I guess I'd take the fire fruit Ace has.

Moku Moku no Mi (Smoker's devil fruit)
So versatile. It'd be crazy to be able to turn into smoke and go into your enemies bodies, suffocate them to death, then leave and materialize. some bad ass shit. also you'd be invulnerable to physical attacks, but weak against wind type attacks.

Name: Mercury Mercury fruit
Type: Logia
Powers: Become, control and create mercury and all basic logia abilities. You could use the ability to increase punch force because of mecury being very heavy and dense, create mercury blades, poison your enemy by injecting him mercury and knowing your enemies body temperature in the grown-up way or the baby way (this one is very painful).
Weaknesses: Very low temperatures freese user, very high temperatures vaporise the user. Then the other standart weaknesses.

MMM, I've always dreamt of a character using the following-

Vine Vine fruit - paramecia

Gives the user the ability to control the growth of all LIVING plants. Can't do anything with dead logs for instance. The power is also somewhat dependant on the environment for water and light. The fruit lets the user control the growth size, speed, and shape of plants. Very useful because you can completely manipulate the environment. If I had the ability I'd carry around seeds of useful vines and trees, as well as a pole of still living hard type of wood. You could manipulate the shape of the pole to form just about any type of weapon (made out of the hard wood).

2 fruits that should be interesting:

A fruit with the abiliy to never become tired.
With that, you can always fight at you peak, you don't need to rest during a fight, you're always on the offensive. Because you are never tired, you don't sleep. Because you don't sleep, you have to live your dreams.

A fruit with the same power as Sebastian Shaw's
power (x-men): able to absorb kinetic energy, each time you try to hit the user, he absorbs the kinetic energy of the hit and he is able to release it at the end.
So basically, the guy become stronger each time he is hit.
Weakness: he absorbs the kinetic energy, the speed of the hit, so he doesn't absorb the weight of the hit.

Just like it sounds, makes user a 1/2 dragon 1/2 human (or reindeer or whatever may devour said fruit.)

Could enable flight, fire breathing, armoured skin, better sight, whichever qualities you think a dragon possesses.

Was also considering adding Models to that like the cat and dog have model leopard, jackal, and dachsund. Maybe model fire dragon, ice dragon, sea, air, earth, which would add elemental affinities to the user, but not make them a logia type.

Considering a devil fruit users cant swimm i dont think a sea dragon would be that useful, but a flying firebreathing armored dragon would pawn anything. Awesome fruit.
