I'm looking for an artist who'd be interested in a possible collaboration, because i'm simply not just looking for an artist to draw what i want him/her to. What I'm looking is an artist who's more into drawing Seinen, and someone with a mature art style. The story's called "White Crows", it's genre is Action, Drama, Seinen and some slight romance, but not the typical anime styled romance.
It has a base foundation in Japanese Mythology. It's a more mature story, with it's share of blood and violence.
Original the story was more fantasy based, but i re-wrote it after watching the Anime Gangsta. My story shares the same style of mature/darker story such as Akame Ga Kill, Tokyo Ghoul(minus the supernatural) and Gangsta.
The Story revolves around the protagonist Rex (there's also a story behind why he's called Rex) who for some mysterious reason is Immortal'ish and suffers from Amnesia. He works at a club called the White Crow, owned by his lover Yukiko. Yukiko's the daughter of the Head of the Kuroshima Family, which is one of the five Yakuza families that run Tokyo. The story revolves around that an unknown Mastermind has chosen to target Yukiko, her Club and employees. All while Rex and Yukiko has their own battle, Yukiko's family, the Kuroshima become the target of an all out war between them and the remaining four families, in which Rex gets drawn into aswell due to being the Kuromshima's "Attack Dog" but also because both wars are orchestrated by the same mastermind. The story also dives into Rex's past, in terms of small flashbacks, that Rex thinks are just really bad dreams. At the same time there's also a small focus on Rex and Yuki's relationship, as it get's tested by Yukiko gets kidnapped or falls victim to attempted assassinations.
Rex also has to struggle with his "inner demon", basically he has a darker, violent and bloodthirsty side, that the Kuroshima use to intimidate their enemies. This side of Rex occationally gets out of control, and Yukiko is kind the only one who's able to snap him out of these rageful moments.
Rex is falls more into the category of an Antihero, rather than the traditional Hero. Because he possesses darker traits rather than the traditional traits a hero would possess. He is selfless at times and does seem like a hero at times, like saving his friends and protecting them. He'd kill anyone who even considers hurting Yuki or any of the others who he considers friends and family.
In terms of violence, there's alot. I wouldn't call it gory, rather just bloody and violent. Like for instance the White Crow's bartender May's violent Ex, shows up and Rex breaks a few of the Ex's limps before he gets killed. At the same time there are moments where Rex falls victim to the violence. Another example is that two girls that also work at the club, are Kidnapped and Rex spots the Van from the top of a building, and instead of running all the way down the stairs, he jumps of the side of the building. Also after the girls are rescued from the Van, Rex steps infront of the Van and as the Van crashes Rex looses an arm. He also gets decapitated, shot in the head, burned alive, crushed by a collapsing skyscraper, etc.
The Story is set in stone, or rather the major plot is set in stone. I'm looking for an artist who'd share his opinion and thoughts, in regards to what should happen in which chapter, and what the characters should look like. Basically i want your thoughts on character design, minor plots, etc.
