Hey everyone, I was wondering about Sasuke's role within Akatsuki. Remember when he fought Bee he clearly said he's not just a pawn http://www.onemanga.com/Naruto/411/05/
This gives the impression that Sasuke has got some hidden agenda. IMO one of the reasons he joined Akatsuki is to observe Madara, to get some insight in Madara's powers, personality, jutsu and whatnot. Madara is the one who assisted in killing the members of his clan, so Sasuke must be looking for a chance to kill Madara, but that won't be easy. I know Suigetsu isn't the strongest ninja out there, but still Sasuke seemed a little shocked that he was easily able to stop him with one hand. Plus, Sasuke has witnessed Madara using his space-time jutsu, which seems hard to fight or counter. This could mean that Sasuke is being cautious and actually using his brain besides his emotions, and that he is planning something secretly, in order to kill Madara. To me it's pretty clear that killing Madara is one of Sasuke's goals (along with obliterating Konoha of course + elders, which I think is just plain stupid). But we all know Sasuke takes revenge VERY SERIOUSLY
On the other hand, Madara surely must be aware of Sasuke intent to kill him. I doubt he thinks Sasuke is loyal to akatsuki in any way. I guess Madara needs Sasuke right now, as most of the akatsuki members are dead and that whole gedo mazo thing (can't remember which chapter), or maybe he needs him for some other reason (to complete his eye of the moon plan perhaps?)
Obviously Madara and Sasuke don't trust each other imo, yet they are both in the same organization, but with different goals. So, who is using who exactly? Is Madara taking advantage of an emotional Sasuke who can't think straight because he's still struck by grief and pain? It looks like Madara wants Sasuke to be full of hatred. When Sasuke broke Danzou's seal, Madara commented "oh good, his hatred is growing" http://www.onemanga.com/Naruto/478/08-09/ Or will Sasuke be able to outsmart Madara and kill him?
